Am I too far down the rabbit hole in looking at this factor for preseason NFL Games?

The shift of the extra point.

Am I going to far by looking at which NFL kickers do the worst from 30 to 39 yards out? This is the range where the new PAT is being tested. I am considering dipping the total by one point each time the ten worse kickers in the league from that range play in the first two games.

Too much time in my hands for a love of stats to influence this?

I dont think there is going to be enough games for it to matter to be honest MM.
You think its a good idea ?
I do,it actually adds some "skill" to gaining an extra point.I dont know if you are aware of rugby union and league, but the conversions after the trys (touchdowns kind of) are a big thing.
The extra point in the NFL as it is today is just a pointless exercise.
