Anyone can. Most guys don't have the time and patience to do it. I spent a solid year learning the in and outs and fixes and loading of repositories and adding apps in a way that's somewhat user friendly for the average guy. Your a million miles from done 2w2p. And I say that in a nice way.I did this myself, wasn't difficult. Plenty of You Tube videos giving directions.
got it and replied already. You're all set.pm sent bushay
Cool.Try3
incase you were wondering, racingUk & AtTheRaces is available
Thanks for the thread Bush,I stuck it on an old laptop and ran it to the Tv.
ESPN,FOX Etc
Im not much of a movie watcher
Yeah theres versions for windows/ios etc....Cool.
You can put Kodi on your pc. All depends on how you want to watch it. The Amazon box allows you to keep your PC free for surfing at the same time.
Manchester once you learn how to add playlists you will be complete. Playlists are websites with local or Networks stations you paste to a playlist loader app and will bring up every channel Directv shows you and more. But takes a degree of sophistication to do this. And a lot man hours to learn if you want it done correctly.
I posted that video yesterday with the guy showing you Dragon Sports. I had it on my system before and deleted it. But others I know swear by it. So I put it back on yesterday and looked it over and found it a bit cumbersome and it took too many clicks to get to what you actually wanted to watch. But this is a slow season for American sports and no baseball games were playing when I was looking around this app. I'll dig into it more later. I use Sportsdevil religiously. And so should you. It has EVERYTHING you could ever need. but the majority of games are not HD. But PLENTY good enough to watch every night without it even being an issue. Its a must have app IMO. Sporting events on Kodi do not run flawlessly in HD unless you pay for an app such as Sportaccess or Sportsmania or OffsidesStreams. I had one month or one week subscriptions with the first 2 and the quality was fantastic. But they didn't play every single game like you can get with sportsdevil. But i've been reading them on Twitter and FB and it sounds like that will be improving or already has. I just don't like to pay these guys if I dont need to. That's the idea of cutting the cord.hey busher,Dragon sports or Sportsdevil ? or both
I did assume they were exactly the same so didnt bother with dragon
Yes Toby. Sometimes they are a bit of a pain to find and watch. But they are definitely all there and more. People are used to a tv running on a channel all day non stop. With apps you click on a show like Spongebob for instance and it plays till the episode is over then stops unless you set it to "play all". But all apps don't offer that feature. So if you have small kids who don't know how to work this....you will be doing a lot of labor setting them up once one of their shows are over. But there is also a guide I provide that runs like a regular guide on cable. but there are flaws in that too. The "G" movie section in Genesis will give you every Disney movie they ever wanted to watch and if you put one of those on your set for a while. My grandson just watched Minions and Antman when he was over here yesterday. You WILL be wishing you had this on your Firetv box already. Can promise you that.Bushay, so this is Kodi you are putting on the fire box right? I have amazon fire TV now . are all the kids chNnels (Nick etc) avail?

You can still use your Netflix and Hulu account if you like. Its still on your stick. Movies ARE HD. Thats the best part of movies on Kodi. It just takes a lot of bandwidth to play these. So sometime they will buffer at the beginning. If it does.... you're supposed to pause the movie till it catches up. 1-2-3-5 minutes tops and no issues after that. Go take a leak and before you get back it should run flawlessly. You CHOOSE the feed you want. There's usually 2-5 in 1080...another 10+ on 720. Some even in SD. They recommend watching in 720 for no issues. But I've watched many in 1080 without a flaw. I personally have a nice Plasma tv and get 50 Mps from my internet provider. So I have a nice setup here. But i have 4-5 tvs at the house here and they are not all this nice a tv. I was turned onto an app I provide you with that clears your cache recently and just cleans up your whole system like emptying your trash folder on your pc or running your defrag. Everything runs great after a clean for quite a while. But I clean mine often to eliminate issues.OK thanks. so movies are not HD though? are the shows and movies not HD blurry? is navigating similiar to Netflix.? that is what my kids watch lot of now , they search for kids movies and series.
Yea...the box is more powerful and you can just feel it as your surfing. You maneuver more smoothly. I have my extra tvs set up with sticks. But my main one I have a box. No real reason too myself, but you can add an external hard drive and download to it. Or add a Keyboard and mouse with the USB port. The stick doesn't have this. Just a cheaper way to surf. But plenty good enough. You will really never know what unit you are using if you're using both and switching inputs like I do at times. But the extra features are nice.Hey Bush,
Thanks for the pm at thegamblingforum. The box worth the extra money ? If so I'll take one. Otherwise send me the stick.
Where do I send the $?

I always ask if you want me to put some porn apps on it. Some don't want me too cause they have kids that use it so I always ask. But they are easily enabled and disabled so they can be hidden off the main screen. I'm going to put you down for a yes! unless I hear different.
So you wanted the stick?Money sent.
I added a little extra extra for shipping.
I just want want to be able to watch content in HD. Sounds like that's not an issue. I also have a 4k UHD tv. You see any content for that ?
Feel feee to leave off the porn stuff.
Thanks pal
sounds good I will pm you tonight, I have to mail you my box, I'll buy additional stickYou can still use your Netflix and Hulu account if you like. Its still on your stick. Movies ARE HD. Navigating is the same. Pick a show and the season you want, pick the episode if its a tv show, click play and its on your screen. No different. But on a movie you will have to choose a stream/feed. 1080-720 etc. but not every movie app requires this. Some play with one click and your good to go.
Got it. Thankssounds good I will pm you tonight, I have to mail you my box, I'll buy additional stick
I don't believe that sticks or boxes are set up for 4k but I could be wrong. I do know that there are sections and apps that show 3d movies. I'll have to look into this further. Again. You want a stick correct?Money sent.

can you set up or program an actual netflix APP right on this thing also? use your normal netflix online monthly service but run it through this thing as an AP?
2w2p says yes but I've yet to see a Netflix app for Kodi but........the original Netflix app will be on the same page in the apps section of Amazon. So you can either click on Netflix OR the Kodi app. Kodi app has everything Netflix has and 10 times more but I understand people are comfortable with using the Netflix app anyways.can you set up or program an actual netflix APP right on this thing also? use your normal netflix online monthly service but run it through this thing as an AP?
are you able to watch big ten network on it?
thanks!
For you guys that use Pandora.....I'm including an app that gives you unlimited skips and no commercials. I've never used it but I hear it's very cool if your into Pandora.
Working on it. Was just told there was, but i'll believe it when I see it. I'll keep you posted. Can you see if you can find that for spotify as well?
I already pay for pandora.
