Re: American Idol 2009- Season 8 Thread and Discussion
FK,
Not exactly sure what you mean by "missed votes". I may have written that somewhere in that lengthy post but I'm sure not going to read it. I give you credit if you did. If you can clarify this, maybe I can better respond.
As to your point of it being fixed. I can only say I have been betting the show for 6 years and have never seen any evidence of it being fixed. There is that outcry all the time, especially when there is a "shocking elimination, but if you study the statistical data usually you can see it coming and oftentimes well beforehand. Fixed is highly unlikely unless myself and sites that track this more closer are simply lucky every single week for years running. Now as to whether the show is manipulated or steered to influence voting, that is another matter. Of course you could say the same for elections as well. Hell, I manipulated the voting in my junior class so I could win class president over the hot cheerleading captain/homecoming queen. If I can do it, then certainly a production team can do it on a larger scale. Certainly the American people aren't the brightest when it comes to decision-making and if you tell them what to do a certain percentage of them will do it.
