First of all, I must say that I got no idea there are too forums on sports gambling.
The only sites that I visit regularly is THE SHRINK's old site, THE SHRINK's new site, and the OPU forum, because they're not too bad. OPU is okay but not as insightful as the Rx, not yet at any rate.
The other forums basically are "for degenerates only" type of forums. The so-called "hard core" sports betting forums - just a code pharse for "we are true degnerates"!

The current state of eog.com is okay I guess.
The traffic may have or may not have reached expectations, but that is not really any of my business.
Just a couple of observations, in case traffic has not lived up to expectations.
The big drawback is there is no football forum. This is evident by the ratio of posts in the General section compared to the football section. About two weeks into eog.com's existence, the NFL exhibition season was in full swing. There were about 5:1 ratio of posts in the general section compared to the football section. If no one was interested in NFL during that time, it was understandable as it was only preseason.
Now with the season in full swing, the ratio of 5:1 still exist general section of the forum and the sports handicapping section of the forum, which surely indicates folks surf to the eog.com not for the football.
The general section of the forum essentially is a free-for-all, which is fine I think. If a newbie happens to surf to eog.com, I think they will find the light-heart banter of the general section to be fine too. However, if they're looking for something else, not sure if they will come back.
This is only my opinion, but being unfocused and disorganized is a drawback. I frequent military forums and investment markets speculation forums too. In the speculation forums, it is suppose to be a free-for-all, so that is how it is. In the military forums, no one posts tanks into the aviation sections. Tanks go into the ground forces section.
The point of the military forums wanting the items posted into the correct sections is that it maintains focus. If people posting things all over the place, people wind up forgetting what they are talking about and the forum drifts directionlessly. If you want to talk about a tank, you post it into the tank section and talk about them tanks. Post it anywhere else, folks might miss the post or forget about they are talking about because of the distractions.
In summary, 1) no football forum, 2) forum seems unfocused.
