Best site to purchase flight tickets?

www.sidestep.com it is software that you download and it searches all places (airline home sites, and all discount companies as well) and gives you the best prices in order. I love it.

Wow... just ckecked kayak.com and they have the lowest prices around. I checked about 5 sites and kayak.com beats them all.

You should also check the airline websites directly. I have yet to find a plane ticket cheaper thru a 3rd party website then I would find with booking directly thru the airline itself.

I've got some good deals with Priceline.com with the make an offer thing. Non-refundable discount ticket but sometimes it works at the last week or so - most of the time you get the Redeye home from Vegas but if you don't mind, etc.

A couple ways to get a good deal is to first find the flight on a big site like travelocity or cheaptickets.com and once you find the best deal, go directly to the airlines' site with the same itinerary and they usually guarantee the lowest online price. Another good place for super discounts and weekly specials is my favorite www.travelzoo.com :+thumbs-2

I've gotten some nice deals through Yahoo. One time I made a reservation through Yahoo 8 hours prior to departure and the price was still reasonable.
