Lawry's (The Prime Rib)
Address: 4043 Howard Hughes Parkway, 89169
Restaurant Telephone: (702) 893-2223
Website: http://www.lawrysonline.com/
Menu: htttp://www.lawrysonline.com/lawrys-primerib/las-vegas/menu/dinner

>Table-side cutting of slabs of prime rib beef on a big-ass cart and spinning bowl salads are hallmarks of this upscale, art deco steakhouse located just off The Strip. Very classy and very memorable and you always know what to order at Lawry’s.

Michael’s (Gourmet Room)
Casino: South Point Hotel & Casino
Address: 9777 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, NV 89183
Restaurant Telephone: (702) 796-7111
Menu: http://places.singleplatform.com/michaels-gourmet-room/menu?ref=google

>Nostalgic Red-velvet booths and dinner prepared tableside? Yep. Open since 1979, Michael’s (Gourmet Room) has moved from the (late) Barbary Coast Casino location and is classy, old school dining with tuxedoed waiters and captains doing tableside presentations. Veal Saltimbocca ($76), Coquille St. Jacques, Dover Sole ($92, deboned at table), sorbet Intermezzo topped with Dom Perignon and Bananas Foster flambé ($25, lit at table) are among the stalwarts in this classic place which seats only 50 and costs more than a pretty penny. And with the renowned Zagat Survey giving Michael’s one of the best scores in US restaurant history (29-28-29 for Food, Décor and Service on a 30-point grading scale), this is as good as food (and service) probably gets.

Golden Steer Steakhouse
Address: 308 W. Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89102
Telephone: (702) 384-4470
Link: https://www.goldensteerlasvegas.com/

>Located just off The Strip (take a right at Sahara Avenue at the world’s largest souvenir shop (Bonanza Gift Shop) and look like a half-a-mile down to your right), the Golden Steer (Steakhouse) is a great place to eat at is Sin City’s oldest steak joint (1958), but you best make reservations as this iconic Las Vegas joint featuring tuxedoed waiters who have been there for decades. Hand-muddled Bourbon Old Fashioned steaks, Dover Sole filleted on the guéridon, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Rhode Island Crab Cakes, a house specialty Escargots de Bourgogne and Caesar Salad prepared tableside are some of the items that make this one worth the trip.

Heading to Piero's tomorrow night.

Last time around I ordered sea bass but this time, I'll try a steak.

Osso Buco has been their signature dish for 37 years.

Thank you all for the input. Headed to town in a few weeks. Will let you know what we choose and how it fares.

said above as well...go to herb and rye hh.

I drank 5 pours of birthday bourbon for like $9 a pour 3 years ago. went back early this year to a lesser bourbon collection, but still loved the atmosphere and food

Piero's is owned and operated by a father-son team.

Kevin's picture, shown in post 17, shows Father Freddie and Son Evan.

The Glusmans have owned the restaurant for 37 years.

I met Evan last night.

He's 41, loves the restaurant business and also loves sports betting.

I ordered the New York steak last night.

Outstanding.

Tender and flavorful.

Started with what they call a dirty Caesar salad.

Finished with a delicious slice of raspberry cheesecake.

Mike Corrigan picked up the tab.

I'll return the favor when he visits Costa Rica for Super Bowl LIV in early February.

One member of our dinner party served as a bouncer for 10 years at the old Crazy Horse II on Industrial Road.

Little-known fact: O.J. Simpson visited the strip joint just before he and his accomplices went to Palace Station on the night O.J. unwisely attempted to recover his memorabilia.

He's right. It's on Sahara. But you do need reservations and the prices are not a tourist rip-off.

Was in Herbs again this week. Quality is the gold standard. Bartender let me know that they have branched out with another restaurant - Cleaver. Will be trying it out middle of next week.

Recap on places we ate while in Vegas.
Hexx for Brunch, pricey but can get your moneys worth with bottomless mimosas
Casa Di Amore -excellent Italian food
Bavette’s Steakhouse at MGM Park.-outstanding, the original is in Chicago has a great atmosphere inside
Hell’s Kitchen for lunch. Fantastic Burger and Chicken Sandwich. Reasonable priced for Vegas
They were all really good and would go back to all of them.
