Not only more players taking a knee, but this time the talking heads will be fully participating as well.

Instead of steering lightly, kind of staying away from the topic, this season with Goodell playing "catch up" look for lengthy on air opinions from the commentators.

You are going to get a whole lot if it, not just during the anthem.

I go to a concert, I want to hear music. I go to a sporting event, I want to watch athletes compete.

Drew Brees thought that. How many other people feel that way? The country will continue to be divided unless you respect people. Many that served in the military will never change their mind on the flag and you can't force them to do so.

Those people will never understand the protest has nothing to do with the flag and never has been, but you're right, I can't force them to listen to the kneelers and learn why they do it, I can't force anyone out of what they think. How about stop fucking saying it and kneel/protest somewhere else if they really mean it. They clearly see how great people that fought for our freedom are offended and disgusted by this act. Is it really too much to ask to leave the flag out of it and protest some other way? How can you not understand this obvious simple concept? Go kneel in front of the police stations everyday, you know the people that are actually being protested.

In your mind it's OK to bully those that respect the flag? If the Black NFL players came out and said they aren't going to kneel for the Anthem but do something else in protest, we would come together instead of the bully tactics.

If they do it during the National Anthem, then yes a lot of people are going to think it's directly related to the flag.

And if it's about cops it was bad mojo for Kap to be wearing "pig" socks to practice.

Just my opinion of course but if you are protesting for results and not just for show, it helps to demonstrate some respect to the other side.

That would be a good starting point.

Also why not kneel 10 minutes before the game? Or after the game? Or at practice, everyone around the league kneel at a specific time and date?

Idk, just me but I agree with Raiders and the others, last thing I want to think about is politics on an NFL Sunday....

Just read these threads and see how it destroys people and relationships.

Sure, but the point of the protest is to be seen, they need to be seen on the field taking a knee, doing it earlier would make it harder to be seen

That would create a lot of buzz yet not have anything to do (intended or otherwise) with the flag.

To me there's 2 groups in politics, those who actually want to make things better, and those grandstanding for views or some other agenda.

I dislike police brutality myself but I think the way this is done it's creating more divides than it is meaningful conversations.
