Lebron: 'Bronny is entering the transfer portal because USC is not the winning culture we thought it was'

I'm hearing he may not even be eligible to play next year. You have to attend school and take tests to continue to play at the college level. He may have no choice but to turn pro.

Would not shock me at all if this was the situation. He doesn’t strike me as someone who will be confused with Albert Einstein. He is probably smarter than our last POTUS….,but anyone with a double-digit IQ is smarter than Jabba the tRUMP

Kinky, make sure you look at the eclipse. Don't worry about shades. Pretend the eclipse is a 12 year old girl changing clothes in the locker room.

There you go, Kinky. You are not going to let tRump show you up. If he can squint at it for a second, you can stare at it for a minute!

Dude was pretty impressive in the NBA Combine the other day.

His O/U is 39.5 in draft with -270 on the over.

I wonder if any will step in late 1st early 2nd and create some James family blues.

The draft is ultra weak this year.

His big drawback however is his 6' 1" almost 6' 2" length for a off guard.

"Bronny James, listed height of 6'4" on every roster he's ever played on, measured just a half inch over 6'1" at the NBA Scouting Combine.

6'1" guys who averaged 5 points a game in college usually don't get drafted. I sure do wonnnnder what's different in Bronny's case...per NBA analyst James Gates"

He's right, SC had him listed as 6' 4".

Maybe he was standing on his dad's wallet. 😄

I don't know if he's an NBA player or not, but apparently he's got one skill, defending, why not take a flyer on him and see if he develops an offensive game, if he does he'll have an NBA career, if he doesn't then his career will be short lived, there are a whole lot of guys who came into the league with a reputation of being able to defend and eventually developed enough of an offensive game to stick, Alex Caruso comes to mind, who thought that guy would have the career he's had, I probably wouldn't take him in the first round, but he's absolutely worth a second round pick, and it has nothing to do with him being LeBron's kid, would love to see the Heat take him, put him in their developmental program and see what they can turn him into

If he was a natural pg, I'd give him a shot...maybe G league starting out. But shooting guard at his size is tough, namely on defense.

There are 1000 prospects every year as good or better than Bronny.

A few poor shooters have the skill, and practice exceptionally hard to make it big.

Examples are Kawhi Leonard (shot 25% 3PT in 2 years at SD St) and way back, Gary Payton (3PT 33% his last year at Ore St, was actually better in his first 3 years).

When Gabe Vincent came to the Heat he wasn't a natural PG, they turned him into one, TJ McConnell has developed into a solid back up PG, they're both the same height as Bronny, the key to Bronny making it or not is probably where he ends up, if he goes to a shit organization or a top notch one will be big for him, I think he might be better off going undrafted which would allow him options where he wants to go

I remember when Magic Johnson came into the league, atrocious outside shot.....he developed a decent outside shot within a few years.

Jason Kidd another guy who couldn't shoot and improved his shot as his career progressed

He will get drafted in the 2nd round - where contracts are NOT guaranteed. He will be invited to camp and what happens after that..............

You guys are missing the point
Drafting bronny gets you LeBron for 2 years at potentially a bargain

Bronny isn't elite in any area.

If he could defend he would have been on the floor at usc

NO!

LeBron is not giving up over $50M/season to play with his son. Just not gonna happen

He has talked about playing with his son for years

He is the one guy who can pass up 100m and it not hurt him since he is going to be part of the las vegas expansion ownership which is worth hundreds of millions

LeBron is beyond money you two.

Fair - but with all he has going on here in LA and the fact his youngest son goes to HS here and he has a young daughter - I just don't see him leaving the Lakers JUST to play with Bronny

It's not a bad take by Simmons, I mean whoever they Celtics take at 30 likely won't even make the roster, he'll either be stashed over seas or in the G league, so why not take Bronny and "hold him hostage", whoever thinks getting him will land them Lebron might be willing to give up something better than what the Celtics could get at 30 anyway, it's certainly worth the gamble, worst case is you take Bronny and no one trades for him, so you stick him in the G league and hope in a year or two he develops, if he does you got a steal, if not, no big deal, besides, it would be a great way for the Celtics to stick it to the Lakers, I love the idea

Klutch says Bronny will not sign a 2 way deal. If the Celtics draft Bronny then only offer him a 2 way deal what happens? 🤔
If they take him at 30 it wouldn't be to sign him to anything, but to dangle him in front of every team who thinks getting him will also get them LeBron, if they can't get a team to offer them what they want, and Bronny doesn't except a 2 way deal, they'll figure it out at that time, the fact that the 30th pick means nothing to them allows them to play a game like this, it's a throw away pick, there's little chance whoever they get at 30 will make the roster. Also, Rich Paul can make whatever demands he wants, it could all be bluster, if Bronny does indeed get picked by Boston, they control the narrative, they don't need him, If they offer him a 2 way and he says no, I don't know what happens or where he would play, but it would be fascinating if Adam Silver steps to the mic on draft day and says "With the 30th pick of the 2024 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics select Bronny James, USC." Hey, maybe they can lure LeBron to Boston to play with his kid, as long as he would be okay coming off the bench as a role player, LOL

That is pretty fucking loaded to not expect 1st round draft choice to make the team even if 30.
The Celtics are loaded, and now that they're champions, vets who ring chase will want to sign there, it makes no difference who they take at 30, there's alomst no chance that guy will make the team, their starting five will all return, Horford, Hauser, Pritchard, plus whatever vets they add are the bench, they might be the only team in the league where the draft doesn't matter, so why not take Bronny and see what happens, I really hope they do, there's no downside

Pacer's Carlislie is convinced Bronny will go top 50.

Weak draft for sure, I've never heard of the first two guys projected to go one, two.

I understand the logic, but I strongly disagree with it.
It’s petty and mean spirited.
OK, I can understand being petty and mean spirited to a hated rival. But if you really, really hate the Lakers & wish them the worst, then you would WANT them to take Bronny, and his limited skills, and his damaged heart.

It's amazing that Bronny's draft position has moved from 39.5 to 54.5, translated...to Lakers at 55.
