The stupid Mayor Released the prisoners into the Superdome with the other Refugees and we see how that backfired. They took the Regular people to the Bathrooms and raped and pillaged them and stole thier clothes so tehy could fit in with the Crowd.
FEMA Reacted Monday Nite as was Requested But they were getting shot at so they had to stop. The coast Guard was rescuing people as soon as the winds dropped below 45 MPH. Thier was no way to drop in Food and Supplies with the Water still rising.
The Feds have spent 500-700 million a day on the Rescue and relief missions.
The idiot Mayor of NO and the Governor of LA would not make all the people leave the City knowing the Levies would ONly withstand a Category 3 Hurricane. They had a week to evacuate the people. As soon as it hit FLA and got back in theGulf the NWS issued a statement that said the Hurricane would stregthen and Be heading or the Mouth of the Mississippi. Since they didn't do thier Jobs it is the Fault of the Federal Government in thier Eyes.
This is the worst natural disaster to ever hit the US....This is not like 9/11.....it is totally different. During 9/11 you could call the guys across town to come help out in the the Police, fire, etc... Not in this. In this you have 10 million + people in over 3 states Displaced and 50 Miles in from the Coast is leveled for the most part. It takes time to move people in. It is not like you can goto Galyen's and Buy a Liferaft and a Generator...EVERYTHING IS GONE..
The looters should have been shot on the spot unless they were getting food, water, diapers, etc....the necessaties of Life. Yes NO would still be under water But you wouldn't have 50k stranded on Rooftops. Why not use all the Gov't Vehicles, School buses, Greyhounds, etc to get these people to Higher ground?
