Caesars attempts to charge Krackman $160 for 90 minutes of parking

probably not the whole cause but it cannot help. The league's had this idea to bring the teams in more than 10 years ago. Soon as teams fail in other cities or expansion happens they look for other cities. This game has been going on maybe before the dodgers moved out of NYC too.

This is why when I come into town I either stay with Sis (If only me) or more are coming we stay at Orleans (FREEEE parking and "reasonable" Resort Fees) OR the La Quinta on Sahara near the Red Rock - Free parking and a damn nice breakfast included. Only time I go near the Strip now is when I have to do some work there and when I do I get my parking reimbursed.

There's no such thing as a "reasonable" resort fee. I don't care if it's one dollar.

All a resort fee is is a way for a hotel to legally lie to prospective guests about their room rate. Ever see room advertised for $19 at Excalibur or Flamingo or some other lower-end Strip property? With the resort fees and tax the actual cost is over triple that. It's criminal, plain and simple.

Nevada resort fees came about when travel sites like Expedia and Travelocity started to grab 18-25% of a hotel's fees.

Suddenly, Las Vegas hotels had overnight partners and the hotel corporations panicked and passed the cost to the consumer.

Tsk tsk.

100% agree. But if you have to pay them best to go where the cost is less than other places

In April when I went to Vegas I stayed at Sis' place and while I did not pay to do so I did take her out for a meal a few times. I did Mystery Shop them so no money out of my pocket but she got 3 nice meals for free so no complaints from her

Another good point JK, I have heard so many resort fee arguments and explanations in hotel lobbies for years in LV to give anyone a migraine, feel bad for front line staff for the grief and abuse they take for this issue in general. Resort fees gives the property an opportunity to put the money straight in their pocket rather than share it with 3rd party sites.

NOT SURE WHERE THE NUMBER $600K CAME FROM

but actually it has not been too bad at the tables
and for playing table limits............i can bet any amount
on the Vegas board at the sports book...........might not mean much to some
but some of these small schools or tennis matches i can crack

casino's over comp players that lose 7 figures a year
or have them stuck money they want back

but mostly they want to know a player has cash
tons of credit and outs
if he gets the ring in his nose

bottom line

If Vegas properties feel that they can’t make it because of third party sites, they shouldn’t advertise on them. Tacking on resort fees when the consumer can’t opt-out if they don’t use them is bait-and-switch at the very least and more like fraud.

all the big hotels charge fees across the country not just las vegas. In the beginning the smart phones were slow so it was important to some to have better internet . Now the smart phones are much faster people look at it more as a fee. Now they scam you on internet access . They chop off the times you go into it per day or sell it by the day for even more $$$. The next scam will be the gym won't be included, it will be extra. The hotels/airlines have fees it is a way of fooling you that the price is cheap when you agree to buy. I could see towels down the road as a small charge too. People steal them & it costs money to clean & fold.

That is generally the case for experienced travelers. For the casual traveler, the third-party sites work better.

Far and away find I prices less expensive at 3rd party sites.
As for resort fees the hotel gets to keep a bigger perecentage of the money on a 30 dollar room with a 25 dollar resort fee than a 55 dollar room...the 3rd party site does not collect a percentage of the resort fee.

Not sure how this materialized but Boston a little peeved 'friend' Krack, on VSIN, says Boston not at his level......

Krack has been a joke (of sorts) since the first time I met him.

I tried to talk to him about numbers and such and he seemed very uninformed. He said he has guys that help him with that.

I enjoy how he rails against certain sportsbooks, but now he is getting referral fees or whatever and promoting certain sportsbooks (that are paying him)!

Dude is trying to swindle his way to money instead of doing the actual work. Hard to trust a 400 lb dude in general. If dude can't eat decently how can he be trusted to put in a decent amount of work.
