Circa Survivor

Does anyone know if any of this years winners used a proxy service? If so what kind of tip could a proxy service get for having a winner?
we are tipping roughly 3% total profit after tax broken down as follows - 17K proxy, 5K benson, 3k counter staff

Galen Hall had 2 of the winning 5 entries for a share of $7.487 Million.
At least 4 of the 5
Survivor winners were owned or picked by poker players
Gallen Hall:
Well, that was neat. Played 3 CHI & 2 CIN, and hit the bingo. Got 5 out of 49 entries remaining. $18 million to the last one standing. ( When Phil lost to Chic and Cinn beat Balt Thanksgiving)

How does that work, I assume they dont do it for free? If you pay them to do it the tip should go down.
the pay is nominal like 250$ or nothing , the tip is well earned especially if you have someone that allows a phone call on deadline day. These are good guys, if I won 1M personally I would be tipping more aggressively.

Re: Proxy for Hilton supercontest...

Jay, already doing proxy's here for EOG members for a $200 flat rate and no percentage................but if anyone feels they would rather have you as a proxy, all for that.
I've already paid $450 total for my two entries with 0 win % and if you are still doing this next year, you'll likely have my business. What is your deadline time Friday for receiving the picks?

Anybody paying a % of win and an upfront fee is being robbed. It's especially ridiculous now that the prize pool is over a million. Some of these people are asking for 8-10% of any winnings. I'll tip something if I somehow finish in the top 30, but it won't be more than 1%.
There probably will be more than 900 entrants this season. :cheers

I love the "I dont carry much cash" excuse from the tiger apologists. Yea, that cant be fixed, lol.

I recall a golf reporter going around asking golfers how much cash they carry/have in their wallet - a couple had none, a few had under $100, many had a few hundred, I think a couple had $2-3K, Phil counted and said "counting what's in the bag $13,000."

Dog, thanks for the reply. Congrats on that win in the Grandissimo. Seems like a nice Bone to the Proxy and staff to me. Well Done.

I would have Tipped the Proxy Only.

Add Up All the Entry Fees , which are 100% Paid Before the First Kickoff , of all the Circa Contests, which comes to Multi Millions of Dollars and Deposit that into a Bank Account.

Stevens could have found a Bank that would give him 3 + percent interest .

How many Thousands of Dollars in Interest Could he have Pocketed ?

Circa says the contests are 0% Rake.

That's No Big Deal, when you calculate Interest Earned From Entry Fees.

Circa doesnt take an entry fee on survivor or millions

So tapping the clerks and shift managers might be a good deed.

I dont believe circa can legally invest that money and earn interest off it

You Trying to Say CIRCA Doesn't Have a BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT , where They Can Safeguard Their Cash ?

In Addition, You Saying A Bank isn't Going to Pay the Business Owner any interest on the Money Their Holding ?

As The Segment on the FOLLOW THE MONEY Show is Called :

ARE YOU SERIOUS ??????????

$25 million at money market rates for 4 months would be at most $250K, sounds like a chunk but for a casino not so much.

Its $31 million for all 3 contests, so $310k. The question is why you wouldn't treat the $$$ like any future other bet?

I know when I buy in, the cash goes in the same drawer as all the other money. The accounting is separate for the 3 contests, but the cash is invested like the rest of the handle.

310k....with No Liability attached to it.

Stevens could Easily Take Care of all Employees attached to Contests with a Bonus Tip , as opposed to contest winners that think they are Obligated to.

Cash Prize for Proxy.

Case Closed.

my friend is a j6er and is expecting his settlement before next season, says he will do grandisimo in 26 and give me pick control with a free roll of 20pct if settlement is before football season

Those Future Bets Have Liability attached to Them.

That 31 Million Stevens is Holding is Getting Interest , which has ZERO Liability attached to it.

310k for Free.
