Coming depression

Re: Coming depression

25-30 years from now won't be pretty in this country.
Crime, and I mean brazen, broad daylight vicious crime has skyrocketed.
Economy being what it is has fed this dystopian atmosphere.
Greed is alive and well and flourishing however.

The sky isn't falling but it is getting heavy.

Right now, a guaranteed income does not look so bad. When times get tough, people with a guaranteed retirment income usually come out ahead.

lost my job of ten years on january 10,2009.my girlfriend is physically disabled from a bad wreck and i have a six year old daughter with a hearing disorder and they both get disability and you are right it has been a lifesaver.back in '09 i had my dad and a few others bitching at me for not working and depending on those checks each month but now that my dad is unemployed too he recently admitted that i was doing better than he was and those checks aren't looked down on so much right now like they were a few years prior.its all about survival now.

thx gotta start somewhere....Still amazing to me at DisneyWorld you have to scan the finger but not with bank credit cards. Do you have any idea how much fraud that alone would eliminate

Dont worry will be a cashless society soon, AntiChrist will make sure. Disney scans the finger so people dont re sale their 3 day passes. Disneyworld wants to make sure everybody pays to full admission price so your little childeren can have photos taken with the pedofiles in the disney costumes. So you can wait in line for 3 hrs behind all the asians.

Wow, imagine that.... someone wanting to stop people from cheating them out of their services.... I guess that cut your income in half, didn't it Rail.

Here's a quick poll for the group.... which is lower in society? Ticket scalpers or lawyers? I say ticket scaplers... at least lawyers provide something useful instead of over charging for sporting events to support their gambling habits.

Railbird is sharp and always thinking.

It's a shame the "fakers" recieving welfare can't have some pride and follow in the footsteps of the great Railbird.

By the way, I'm all for welfare for those that actually need it and absolutely have no other means to survive.

There was a study recently, the welfare checks in one state went to debit cards....then they tracked where it was spent. Liquor stores, casinos, strip bars etc.

could you imagine in the year 2068 one hundred years after the original civil rights with Dr. King the white race having a similar ordeal where they have to fight and claw for everything including rights.if things go the way some are predicting we could very well see some type of showdown or struggle in the decades ahead.definitely something to think about.

Depression aint coming---its already here. Ive been out of work most of last 5 years----plumbers use to never have to worry about jobs-----dont give me that shit about taking a hamburger flipping job, adults in my area are fighting for those jobs. I didnt say I was broke, just out of work---I feel better when Im working.

Re: Coming depression

Well, since Los Angeles County is now nearly 2/3rds Hispanic, this certainly should not be a surprise. That figure includes the hundreds of thousands of illegals that live in Los Angeles County. As long as you have cities like Los Angeles, encouraging illegals to come to their City and County, this number is going to grow. Just look at what happened to other Cities that allowed minorities to run the Local governments. Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia are perfect examples of how Cities can become toilets overnight when minorities take over.

The strong will survive. The weak won't. Thus is the cycle of life.

Who said we were all born to be financially successful anyway? Most view financial stability and financial success as an entitlement vs what it really is.... hard work and really good decisions day after day.

Everyone decides their own fate.

“There are very few large gold mines set to commence operation in the next five years,” said Standard’s analyst Yan Chen in a report Monday. “The limited new supply comes at a time when central banks have turned from being net sellers to significant net buyers of gold. The result, in our view, will be a gold market in deficit, even assuming flat growth in demand. With the supply-demand balance so out of kilter, we see the gold price potentially going to US$5,000/oz.”
The London-based firm is among the first to focus on the supply-side of the gold equation amid the many bullish forecasts out there on the metal. After analyzing 345 gold mines and 30 copper/base metal gold mines around the globe, the team estimates annual gold production will be just 3.6 percent over the next five years.

“They make a pretty compelling argument, especially when it comes to mine supply,” said Brian Kelly, head of Brian Kelly Capital and a ‘Fast Money’ trader. “Most analysis focuses on demand from China and India, which of course can disappear as quickly as it materialized.”
But that’s unlikely to happen over the next five years as central banks look to further diversify their holdings of U.S. dollars and as emerging countries buy more gold in the aftermath of the global paper currency crisis.

“Currently, only 1.8 percent of China’s foreign exchange reserves is in gold,” wrote Chen and the Standard team in the 68-page report. “If the country were to bring this proportion in line with the global average of 11 percent, it would have to buy 6,000 more tonnes of gold, equivalent to more than 2 years of gold production.”

The bold call is among the most bullish out there. In a Bank of America/Merrill Lynch survey of global money managers released Tuesday, just about a third of money managers felt gold was overvalued. However, that is the highest reading in that survey in more than a year.
Standard Chartered recommends that clients buy shares of smaller gold miners to get the most upside from its prediction, but also said clients could buy physical gold and gold exchange-traded funds.
