There are an "estimated" mind you I realize it's estimated 10 trillion barrels of oil trapped in shale formations(bet doc doesn't know what a shale formation is) in the U.S. and Canada. If our congressional leaders would allow us to develop even one-tenth of those reserves it would quadruple our national reserves...oh no..the tree huggers can't have that.

The same week, the Saudis responded to President Bush's request and agreed to increase their oil production by 300,000 barrels a day. The event was of course ignored by news reporters, and Bush is lampooned in the media for courting the Saudis, on this.

The fact of the matter, however, is the Saudis did infinitely more about our energy crisis than our own congress.

We simply have too many self-serving politicians!!!
