GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes are going to "un-retire" Hall of Famer Bobby Hull's jersey number so he can present it to his son Brett before the team's home opener against Minnesota on Oct. 8.

The team announced Friday that Brett Hull will wear his father's No. 9 the rest of his career.

Bobby Hull wore No. 9 throughout his career with the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets. The Jets, who moved to Phoenix in 1996, retired Hull's No. 9 in 1989.

The Coyotes signed Brett Hull as a free agent on Aug. 6, 2004. He is an 18-year NHL veteran and is the game's active scoring leader with 741 goals.

That's weird, I thought father and son didn't get along at all... something to do with Bobby's treatment of Brett's mom. I guess they kissed and made up.
