Re: Dave "The MeatMan" Scandaliato's FULL CARD for the 2015 Belmont Stakes

Of course he does not believe he is -500 or he would lift the $100 cap off the wager and be down at the sperm bank trying to raise extra money.

Anyway, with respect to the format, I would like to counter your proposal with the following:

Must be a selection for every race but can be as little as 4% of the bankroll and as much as 20%, amount of starting bankroll TBD.

I have no issue with the exclusion of supers and tris but would like exactas included. Have no problem capping exactas to $8 a race or so.

Selections can be made anytime before post. If you post yours before the day starts, the advantage I will extend you is that I will not use any of your straight wagers for my straight wagers. If you prefer I not see your wagers, no problem, easy to work out

As far as the marathon, I would prefer a 1 day contest but if you insist on 2 would prefer Friday and Sunday. If 2 days, new bankroll each day.

I have had a few contests with Luca where we used the percentages based on the revised bankroll after each race.

No exactas.

Anybody can get lucky one(1) day.

That's why this will be a two(2) day event.

You can't pick five(5) horses on Saturday and five(5) horses on Sunday and post them at EOG?

2 days no problem. No exactas no problem.

But your pick format is a little basic. My format integrates money management which is the key to overcoming takeout. If you wager the same each race, you have to be a long term loser.

I can go without the percentages based on the revised bankroll to keep it simple and instead make it one bankroll, ie $100, where you pick every race, minimum 4%, max 20%. That seems pretty simple Dave.

As far as selections,I propose we send plays to someone who in turn posts both with 3 minutes to go. In this format, neither would see the others picks and anyone that wanted to tail could do so. If you want to post yours in advance, fine.

One of the reasons I do not bet/release until late is so I do not get stuck with odds that do not represent fair value i.e a 3 to 1 that turns into a 6/5.

The bottom line is people got my picks and made money even after the takeout which is not easy to do.

Plus we were playing with the houses money the last two(2) races.

99.99% of horse players played today for fun not profit. All of those people I do business were happy to get home with their money.

Do you even play the ponies or is this just a topic you are running your mouth on son?

Dave "The MeatMan" Scandaliato
What a horse shit line this is. Your selling your pics. People are putting out their hard earned money to make money. You have no business determining what they should do once they have them. Either for fun or profit. Why would they pay you for fun. Let me guess...one person told you I just need picks to play because I don't know anything about horse racing but want to have an educated opinion to play off of. If its for fun why don't you just give them to them like you did here? You just exposed yourself a little more with this one Dave.

IMO nothing is perfect but for a contest Meatman's format for a proposed contest seems very fair and doable - more than yours. I Hope you accept pbovi- it will be a good contest and the EOG world will LOVE it!

For hitting a 14:1, you actually had a pretty day.

If you were even AVERAGE at Belmont you would've been up big

As it is, you barely turned a profit

90% of your picks sucked

Willing to revise it so that the $100 bankroll can be divided in as however many races, so long as it is a minimum of 5. Plays in no later than a few minutes to post. That seems pretty easy.

Meat wants to exclude exotics and make it 2 days. I am agreeing to that.

Sure you did.

So let's say I am running back in football.

I just played a game when I carried the ball twenty-five(25) times for a hundred thirty(130) yards.

But one(1) of the rushes was a ninety(90) yard TD and the other twenty-four(24) carries were for forty(40) yards.

Let's say the average person who bet my picks yesterday either played $15 WP or $10 WPS which is $30 per race. That means he/she put $330 in action(11 X $30).

Just based on the GUARANTEED HOLD the track has breaking even for that person is -$66.00 for the day. If you double the bets to $60 per race they would on average based on the GUARANTEED HOLD would be -$132. And you don't think people like getting home even on the day?

Going to a day at the races is a day of enjoyment. Breaking even is a great day. You went to the track, spent five(5) hours there, had fun and went home with the same money you had in your pocket.

The difference between football and horse racing is you pay in advance to go to the football game. When you go to the track you pay with the 20% to 25% hold the track takes from the betting pools each race.

You are a dumb mother fucker Bushay. Now I know why JK keeps you around. You are one(1) of the few that actually makes Kelly look smart.

Here is the contest format.

We are going to pick five(5) horses on Saturday and five(5) horses on Sunday. Or we can make it a one(1) day five(5) horse contest. All plays must be posted before the first race of the day. You will not be allowed to go 0 for the day and then pick a 50 to 1 shot with a few minutes to post for your last play. This way people will see each pick hours before the races so they can follow along.

We will figure out the standing based on a $6.00 per race wager using win, place and show.

You can bet $6.00 to win. $6.00 to place. $6.00 to show.
You can bet $2.00 WPS. You can bet $4.00 to win and $2.00 to place.
You can bet $3.00 to place and show. You can bet $3.00 win and place.
You can bet any combination of win, place and show wagers you want.

The bet will be for $100. I would bet more, but based on the people you hang and do business with I don't trust you. This way if you stiff me I won't send some of my New Orleans negro felon friends to collect as I would hate to see something happen to you.

Can't dumb this down any more than it already is. Part of being a successful horse capper is reaching for value which you cannot do by posting in advance. Had two contests here with Luca that went off without a hitch which included 2 or 3 other tracks besides NY.
