We make all the picks upfront. This way everybody can follow along.

Odds, how the horse looks coming onto the track, money.

I am sitting here at Santa Anita and like the 5 in the last race but not at 2 to 1 in an 11 horse field. You don't get this because you are a loser.

OK Paul. Here is my question.

Let's say you get the DRF the day before the contest. While looking in the form you see a horse that you absolutely LOVE at morning line odds of 10 to 1 in the last race at Belmont. There is NO DOUBT this is your best bet of the day.

So the contest begins. We are each picking horses all day long and I finish with a score of ???. You still have a play left because you LOVE a horse in the last race of the day. This is the best horse you have ever seen in your life.

So the odds come up and your 10 to 1 morning line shot is now 12 to 1. And then goes to 15 to 1.

Are you still going to pick him if you know you need an 18 to 1 shot to beat me? Would you actually pick the best horse racing bet you have ever seen in your life at 1.5X the morning line odds listed and concede the contest, or will you play a flyer at 18 to 1 or higher to try and win the contest?
