Detroit Lions 2025 Season Thread

Its hard to NOT root for Detroit. Terrible franchise for so long. Last year looked like a legit shot to get to the Super Bowl. Then the injuries hit. The window still open, and maybe next year. I'm guessing it will be closed by 2027.

But for Tigers fans, it's getting ugly.

Last 27 Tigers 7-20.

Picked the Eagles Last Year.

Just Played Lions to Host Super Bowl Parade at +950.

You can get them at Fan Dual at + 1100.

My play is on credit.

After they beat Cleveland this week that number will come down.

You can't say Lions are being given a walk. They play every contender both conferences except Buffalo 15-2 will be more impressive this year.

This should be a scandal but it's not. I haven't even posted about it until now. It was an illegal play but it was also illegal to have "New York" call it in. That and 0 penalties on the Chiefs is why they won or was enough to help them win. NFLe would not survive a grand jury looking into their "entertainment" business.

howid many times every game an obvious missed or wrong call is shown on replay. New York could call in any of those but they don't except they did for the Swifties to take away a Lions touchdown. Then they lied about it which is worse and worse.

So far not spectacular like last year but rock steady. Injuries again but manageable. Should get to Eagles 7-2 with a chance to secure 2nd TB for #1 seed.

Then Green Bay on Thanksgiving for division and Stafford to close it out. Good chance clinch #1 before final game so extra week of rest.

I think the TG game between GB and the Lions will be huge. There's something about Green Bay, where I feel something is just a little off. Yes, impressive win vs Pittsburgh. But what is Pittsburgh at this point? A workman like win over Arizona despite facing the backup QB. They beat the Bengals by 9 before that, but it was a 6 point game late with Cincy to do an onsides kick. This, against a Cincy team who started Flacco 4 days after trading for him. Before that, a tie giving up 40 points to Dallas, and before that an outright loss to the Browns.

Detroit IS the better team, but can they avoid defensive injuries this year?

So far so good with the Lions injuries. That will be a huge thanksgiving game. Unfortunately, we will be out of town and i'll be selling my tickets.

It is apparent that the loss of Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn have not hurt this team. After all, it's the players that perform on the field, not the coordinators.

It is also apparent that the Lions opening game vs the Pack was like a preseason game from Detroit's perspective. None of the starters played at all during the pre season. Plus you had a fired up Pack due to the arrival of Parsons.

What's the situation with Injuries to their secondary ?
Last I remember both starting safeties were out and 2 starting cornerbacks. A NY of them on their way back ?
