what station # is sports grid on XM?

All of VSiN's highlights are also on twitter. If there is a subject I want to hear further, then I go to the podcast on spotify and listen to the segment.

VSIN hired Las Vegas based radio guys who couldn't draw money on their Las Vegas AM radio station. Mitch Moss was doing midays. Pauly was doing paid radio. Gil lost his radio gig in San Francisco to bad ratings. Matt Youman had to pay for his time on the radio. Amal Shaw teamed with Brent was awkward because Shaw never established himself anywhere. Wes Reynolds needed to work at sportsbooks to get by. Brady Kannon left radio to work at a golf course. Neither could draw money on air.

Need personalty to bring in money and this VSIN lineup has none.

Sadly all the investors are seeing their shares get liquidated with more and more investor money coming in to keep it afloat.

Word is VSIN relied on Vinny Magliulo to hire the on air talent.

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

I do not believe they stream free anymore...they were for a week to promote their move to Circa.

I don't really enjoy the new line up. IMO, the only show that is interesting with decent guests is Paulie and Mitch. The rest to me is noise.

from their daily newsletter:

To our loyal listeners on SiriusXM . . .
As you’ve heard from Brent’s frequent promos on Channel 204 over the last few weeks, VSiN won’t be on SiriusXM as of Jan. 1.

I just want to assure you that there will be plenty of ways for you to listen to us—web, phone, car, home—when we ring in 2021.

I’ve heard from many of you that you subscribed to SiriusXM just because of VSiN. We don’t take that kind of loyalty for granted. In an ideal world, VSiN would be carried on SiriusXM. Instead, what's within our control is to make this transition as easy as possible for you.

First, we will be adding a new audio player on VSiN.com. It will be free and it will offer the features that you like about the digital SiriusXM player—for example, the ability to start the show from the beginning and the functionality to rewind in case you miss a pick. We’ll be adding the same features to the VSiN app as soon as possible.

We also are putting together a list of home devices and car models with specific directions on how to listen to VSiN. We should have that posted on our site next week, so you can find your preferred methods and prepare for the changeover. (You might even find some new, better ways to listen to us.)

I plan to seek your help before Jan. 1 in testing the new audio player so I can get your feedback and make adjustments.

We’re excited about 2021. We hope you will be there with us.

Meantime, If you have questions, you know where to find me.

o’Royken or anyone familiar with that market - who would you hire if you could hire anyone?

Professional station manager in the business who knows how to draw money. Recruit morning and afternoon drive time hosts who have personality and a history is drawing money. Morning and Afternoon Drive talent are the best in the industry. What VSIN built were bottom tier talent with no personality and NO ability to draw money.

Mitch and Pauly were buried on Las Vegas Radio. Amal Shaw with Brent in the beginning? Why VSIN put faith in them proves they don't know what they are doing and have unqualified people making major decisions.

A key skill for on air talent is how to DRAW and KEEP sponsors on their show. Only reason Petros Papadakis made it in the business was because his father was able to get his business friends to put up money and sponsor his show. Petros was not liked. What kept him on LA radio was his dad bringing in money from his business contacts to sponsor his kids show. They even gave his dad a segment once a week to talk sports to help his ego. That is an exception to the rule. What it takes is talent understanding the business and how to use personality to keep money flowing into the show. Something Mitch and Pauly are clueless about as the others on the lineup.

Time is running out. Investors don't like seeing more Investors come in and reduce their share. Losing Satellite is a HUGE HIT.

Over the air sportsradio is getting crushed with the lack of revenue also. That will come back when bars reopen.

I can see why they hired Vegas personalities like Mitch, Pauly, and others - it legitimizes them as Vegas Insiders on a gambling show.

They weren't drawing money to the network way before the pandemic and most likely won't after it either. Neither don't seem well enough educated for anything other than small market.

Mitch and Pauly talk about betting one hour in their 3 hour show. Rest is sports talk rants. College Football playoff and other nonsense.

And a lot of VSIN promo breaks. It really disrupts the flow of the show.

I remember Brent getting frustrated with the talent. He bashed Amal for his rants saying that he is disguising his lack of preparation for the show with silly rants.

He pointed out that about morning show as well with Mitch and Pauly.

Most likely led Brent to taking the Raiders job and doing very little with VSIN. Talent was too weak around him and he didn't want to be associated with the network full time.

His actions speak volumes.
