I post again. If celebrities are having problems, just imagine what is being covered up with real people. Christopher Wray past variance level.

Yup, that's why these reports of unusual numbers of deaths among young people are so illuminating. The actuaries know what's going on, and the reason is NOT a mystery.

It will, he is a drama queen that is overstating his condition for attention.
He was updating the hundreds of friends who love and care about him.

It was different for you because no one gave a fuck how you were doing.

So this is something you simply wouldn't understand.

Great guy with poor diet. I used to cringe when Dink would joke about how bad his diet was on JK's show. He joked that is was so bad he should be dead.

Sorry, but that is what comes to mind here and hopefully some can learn from. Health cannot be taken for granted.

I hope he pulls through this OK.

After all I went rhru 3 years ago I was told I had to change my diet and even before i ate decently. If Dink gets thru this - and we all hope he does - he will have to change his diet or his time here will diminish

We kill ourselves with what we eat and consume, drugs and alcohol included.

Though Dink never struck me as a drug user.

One other problem: Dink sweats every score update.

And I mean EVERY score update.

Stress is tough on gamblers.

Stress is tough on gamblers.

Those who make their living on the Fitness/Bodybuilding circuit know they can work out 30 hours a day but if they eat shit they will never have a great body.

As for score updates.................When I make a bet on a game I rarely watch it. I know I have no control over what takes place during it so I go do something else and check the score(s) when done. I don't want to have a situation where my team scores/gives up 3 runs in the 1st and then think I am going to win/lose the bet when the other team has 8-9 ABs left. If I am gonna die of a heart attack it is gonna be when I am "reading" with someone like Nina Agdal or the woman I have said is the Sexiest/Hottest/Most Beautiful Alive for at least the last 5+ years.....Cinderella Landolt (Liked her more when natural or after 1st implants - 2nd ones are way too big)

I can attest to that. May 20 will mark 3 years since I saw my Proctologist and he told me the results of a scan I had a few days earlier showed my Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma was GONE! Dink will go thru HELL and at times will wish he was dead but it is beatable.

The post that doomed dinky.

My heart breaks for DINK.

Generous guy in every sense of the word.

Quick wit.

Good soul.

I remember the night in 2015 or 2016 that he told me he was backing Bernie Sanders for U.S. President.

Not politically-minded, I said something like, "He's a socialist, isn't he?"

To which Dink replied, "So."

The funniest line delivered by Dink on Las Vegas radio came when Mike Corrigan was talking about the hitter-friendly conditions at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Corrigan said, "Hell. Dink and I could hit one out of Camden Yards."

Without hesitating, Dink replied, "Just me."

Paul’s Anguish Over Israel

9 I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised![a] Amen.

God’s Sovereign Choice

6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[b] 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[c]

10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. 11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”[d] 13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”[e]

14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,

“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[f]
16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g] 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”[h] 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? 25 As he says in Hosea:

“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;
and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”[i]
26 and,

“In the very place where it was said to them,
‘You are not my people,’
there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”[j]
27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant will be saved.
28 For the Lord will carry out
his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”[k]
29 It is just as Isaiah said previously:

“Unless the Lord Almighty
had left us descendants,
we would have become like Sodom,
we would have been like Gomorrah.”[l]

Israel’s Unbelief

30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. 33 As it is written:

“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall,
and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame

Hospice is a terrible thing IMO, my mom went to it 6 years ago - they treat you great for the first couple weeks, cater to every wish and need to make you more comfortable, etc. Then they push to pull the plug," lets up the morphine, she might be in pain", the people that do it are sick as well. The one woman running my moms case desperately wanted to be there to watch her die, she didn't get her wish thank god.

Yep, they gave my dad 24 hrs and he lasted 24 days, it's a form of murder-suicide

Dink is a man of honor.

I cannot say the same for fucking pieces of shit who rip him and besmirch his name. IF I ran this site anyone ripping Dink would be PERMANENTLY BANNED from this site. If Dink was related to me I would soon be spending the rest of my life in prison for the brutal and painful murders of the assholes ripping him.

Dink has more class in his pinkie than the fuckheads ripping him. NONE OF THEM have the guts to do it in front of his face when healthy.

DISGRACEFUL, PATHETIC, INEXCUSABLE AND UNCALLED FOR. JK, we spoke about this today. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE DISGRAVEFUL PIECES OF SHIT! NOW!

STFU, Kinky. You aren't going to beat anything but off. Nobody is being unkind or untoward about Dinky. Not one post describes that since news of his hospice. Enough with the unhinged violent fantasy threats. You are one sick puppy and you are an annoying asshole. Fuck you.

Gentlemen, please.

Wink is right about Dink: He is a man of honor.

And since news of Dink's arrival in hospice care, everyone has been respectful.

Hello everyone. It's been awhile.
Very rough time for myself and many of you I'm certain.
Alan and I were incredibly close as I'm sure all of you know. I'm at a big loss for words but I wanted to stop by and thank Eog and JK for connecting me with one of the best friends anyone could ask for. Who knew all those years ago that a DM would change both our lives.

Dink was also one of the best business partners anyone could ever ask for also. From accounts to figures he was never off regardless of anything.

The radio show was so important to him. He introduced the world to Joeytunes, Rob pizzola, Wes Reynolds, Marni Blitz and Eric Waz. He treated every week like it was urgent that his guest was well prepared.

Alan was a hero to many but the easiest person to become friends with. I've had easily 100+ meals with Alan but the guests always varied. One night it'd be Mickey Appleman and David Gray. The very next night a completely broke horse player. If you gambled, wrestled, loved animals, liked punk music, etc etc you were welcome.

Dink and I spoke no less than 3 times a week for who knows how many years every football season. We spoke in length about members of this forum.

Here's what I'll share... he liked or respected all of you.

Yes even Railbird. He thought Matt was a brilliant strategist in the 7 game weekly tournament format where small sample sizes were never entirely determined by skill but when one contestant held a mental edge it was stronger than assumed.
Matt's heel role won him money. Genius in both of our opinions. Everyone has to have at least one quality! Just kidding Rail.

He thought JK was the best interviewer and deserved a VSIN or bigger type of spot. Also swore he was a incredible hoops player for your age JK.

Hiem he told me was incredibly sharp.

He respected Drunken goons NHL opinion.

He really loved the book. Guys name is escaping me who appeared on the show often (Mike something) and we gave him some action for a bit but we never went heavy. It was obvious Dinky really valued their friendship.

Obviously artie was liked by both of us. The fueds with RB were comical. Took a quick glance at thread pre posting and good to see that hasn't changed.

I wish I could remember more from back then. Im just very tired currently. Ron Boyles was incredibly impressive to both of us. Voodoo, Dink and I became very close and Frank never ceases to amaze.

Marni.. my lord there was great friendships built from this place! Just incredible thinking back.

I was asked by a very good friend of Alan if there was any chance he could come out of hospice. 11% is what the chances are of leaving a hospice once entering.
Do you how many times he's lost as a 89% favorite!? Was my reply. Only gamblers get it and thankfully this person was one.

There's so many gutted by the news. It happened so quickly. We spoke on the 27th. I send a joke a day since May 1st and a week ago Saturday he never replied and Jon Lerner (who's just the greatest guy ever) called Thursday with the news. I still can't believe it. No one can.

I ask that everyone keep Alan in your prayers, thoughts and try to keep your spirits up. Hes a fighter.

This was a very special forum and changed the course of my entire life.

Thank you sincerely for that,
Eddie
