She had to sue to get it back and even then it cost her 4k dollars. How long does it take you to hustle a 4k profit on the Bushay boxes? A while I bet.
Certainly too long and too much effort to just give away because the government decided to seize your money.
And that's a "win". Fortunately she had the resources to sue, win the case, and because of that ended up only having 4K stolen from her. She could have lost the entire 40k.
And that doesn't even account for the time and aggravation of this whole thing. This process isn't fast, certainly not a week or month long kind of thing.
And who knows where or who that money was for. Her kid to get in college? A parent of her's urgently needing health care? Property she was planning on buying?
By the time she sued to win her own money back it was a lot more expensive no matter what it was for.
They take it unfairly, you just hire attorneys, sit around for a long while and hope you win so it's only a 4k loss of your hard earned money......
