Down goes Frazier

The Yankees optioned Clint Frazier to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after the team traded for Seattle's Edwin Encarnacion.

EE is in the starting lineup (batting fifth in the DH role) tonight for the Yankees.

Frazier has 11 HR's and 34 RBI, the Yanks have no room for him on their roster, if he were a Marlin he would be leading the team in both categories #JeterShitShow

The Yanks will use Frazier as trade bait to acquire a starting pitcher before the trade deadline.

The other week I placed a future on them to win the WS +675, once they get fully healthy their lineup will be loaded, all they need is a another quality starter, and like you point out, they have more than enough assets to acquire the best arm available at the deadline

edwin's first yankee at bat just took place. he looks old. fans are cheering him on and he struck out swinging on all three pitches that he didn't foul off. useless acquisition.

Aaron Boone deserves a lot of credit for keeping his backups engaged.

It was George Foreman who knocked down Frazier when Cossell made that call, not Ali.

I recall reading that Cossell had animosity toward Frazier, forget the reason, & he was gleeful when he was saying “Down goes Frazah!” (Phonetically).

That pic is from 2nd Ali vs Sonny Liston fight.

Heard from a few different places a year ago that Frazier wasn’t well liked in Yankees clubhouse. Look for him to be dealt at the deadline for an arm of some sort

Hard to get all 25 Alpha-types on the same page.

Frazier will be trade-bait.

Lewiston, Maine is correct.

Home of the second Ali-Liston fight.

Tickets were priced at $25, $50 and $100.

The fight's official paid attendance was only 2.434.

The crowd swelled to over 4,000, however, because of the arena's leaky security.

Surprising note.
