"There are a lot of problems, but they're easy problems to be fixed," forward Kevin Jones said following WVU's 81-71 loss to St. John's, on Wednesday. "It's up to us if we want to fix them and how fast we fix them. It's a lack of intensity sometimes. It's us not making winning plays all the time."
WVU point guard Truck Bryant has mentioned a lack of teamwork, putting blame on himself as well.
If nothing else, the Mountaineers are staying consistent.
Yet, Wednesday's loss was different because it was the first Big East game of the season. Players know how important any conference win is when it comes to earning a good seed for the Big East tournament.
Losing to St. John's -- a team that had not beaten WVU at the Coliseum since 1999 -- was truly an eye-opener.
