Here's what I read in the Reno Gazette-Journal about Eldorado Resorts:

The company started out as a small family-owned business in Reno but has grown in recent years into one of the largest casino companies in the United States. Today, Eldorado either owns or operates 26 properties in twelve states, including Nevada, Colorado and New Jersey. Caesars, meanwhile, owns 53 properties in the U.S. and overseas.

Same in Reno. Reno is pretty much all William Hill except for Peppermill and Atlantis. And one independent (US Bookmaking?) in Sparks.

Eldorado sold Mountaineer Park last week.

Eldorado sold Mountaineer and two Missouri casinos in a package deal.

Century Casinos, another gaming company, is acquiring the operating assets of the three properties for approximately $107 million, and VICI Properties Inc., a real estate company, is acquiring the land and real estate assets for approximately $278 million.

Correct.

The rumor back here is the casino will stay open, but the track will close for good in December.

We need about 10 tracks to cease operations. It would help the field sizes at the others and it would be a better product. From Iowa to PA, how many crap tracks need to be running $5k claimers?

One problem with racinos is the location.

Away from media and population centers.

Not good for the game when headlines are made in Altoona, Iowa or Vinton, Louisiana or Sunland Park, New Mexico.

We need the game strong in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Former Cowboy QB Glenn Carano is the son of the Eldorado founder and could be running the company now.

Eldorado has sports betting deals in place with William Hill US and the Stars Group, which includes a presence on the planned Fox Sports Network’s sports wagering application.

What could happen is Eldorado could get rid of the Caesars sportsbook line & install the WH line. Then Eldorado possibly sells some strip casino's like harrahs & ballys etc could get more independent books.

William Hill sure seems to think that Eldorado is contractually obligated to give them all sportsbook business after the merger.

Their press release about it almost beat the release announcing the merger itself!

Eldorado will dump bally's so hopefully there will be a new sports book down the road for the bettors

William Hill is going into Caesars...

it looks like vegas will lose a book. The people who are interested what I read on a bally's sale is the nugget owner , TI maybe someone else.. That cannot be good. I would expect the same thing in NJ with a book that is in NJ already

the owners don't think bettors shop. The bettors will if they have to.
