Sunday, February 23, 2020—67 Vegas Golden Knights -165 (Pinnacle)
10:08 pm ET/7:08 pm PT (NBCSN)—The last game of the day in the Don Best Official International Rotation for Basketball/Hockey (Book 5) on Sunday, this NHL game between the Vegas Golden Knights (33-22-8) and the host Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center in Anaheim (24-29-7) seems like the ideal spot for new blood VGK to continue its recent roll (season-high W5) to the top of the Pacific Division standings with new HC Peter DeBoer 9-3-2 since arriving here in Sin City where the Neon Lights are so pretty but where there is garbage all over side streets. Perhaps Empire Carrot Top Rome is falling??? I will be betting $20 (USD) on this one at the SuperBook—the International House Of Kornegay—and feeding some Common Grackles in the parking lot when I am there They know me.
We do have Garbage Cans here in Lost Wages, we just don’t have enough residents with Pride in where they (currently) live, so these selfish denizens discard their crap anywhere and everywhere like entitled asswipes. I’d love to strap a GoPro to my Head and take some walks someday and show you word-readers how bad it is in what’s a tourist destination but I lost my Head and it would be too hard to strap it to the Nub on my neck where my Head once sat. The Las Vegas garbage may be reproducing at night for all I know. When you drive, like most Americanos do, you don’t see the horrors of the modern American Sidewalk. It isn’t pretty. Crooked and gritty maybe...
Sidewalks always speak Truth, be they Here, There or Everywhere. Even in Costa Rica. I saw the photograph. I am hoping Sidewalks in the next plane of existence are pristine. JK and I drove past 11 Heineken bottles on a sidewalk for well over a year here in Sin City. I wonder if the bottles were (just) Budweiser if they would have made it INTO the garbage can some 18.2 inches away? Fuck everyone. When you litter on Mars, they make you eat it, Pigs. Bus stop rat bag, ha, ha, charade you are.
With new D Alec Martinez in the fold and G Marc-André Fleury getting his head right, VGK beat the L2 Stanley Cup champions and ended an 11-game Win Streak by last season’s President’s Trophy winners—Tampa Bay—on Thursday night at the T-Mobile Center here in dirty Paradise, NV during a successful 5-game Homestand (5-0-0) to show that they have the horses and ability to beat anyone in the NHL right now. What if instead of taking a Shower every morning, the Zamboni just drove over you to clean your Slim Jim and Nads?
Backup G Malcolm Subban (8-10 SU, -6.7 units) will likely get the start here, so put half as much faith in a Knights win in SoCal and Max Pacioretty (58 points), Reilly Smith (2 goals SAT, 25 on season, 4-game Point Streak) and VGK will be coming off a Home game vs Florida Saturday night, so the Travel (from LV to LA) will be involved and if Fleury gets he start there, Subban could very well be in net here against the Ducks. Anaheim hosted the Avalanche on Friday and will have the Rest edge, so the handicapping Starting Goalie, Travel and Rest check marks ✔ will all go to the underdog and hosts Anaheim and expect Gibson (17-28 SU, -10.5 units) in goal on the frozen water for the Ducks.
The Ducks (-34 GD) are 12-12-3 on Home Ice while VGK (+11 GD) is 13-12-3 on the Road. The series Trends show in 12 lifetime meetings, VGK is 10-2 with one of those Losses coming in a Penalty Shootout and VGK averaging 3.6 gpg vs the not-so-mighty Ducks 1.8 gpg according to my Eishockey Databank, available only to us loyal KGB members or those who know how to Google. VGK is 5-2 on Sundays while the Ducks are 3-7 on Sundays this season. What can Brown do for you? No visible means of support and you have not seen nothin' yet, everything's stuck together, and I don't know what you expect staring into the TV set, fighting fire with fire. Burning down the house. /drums/ 48.6% handicap, 51.4% concert?
I’d rather have a day’s Rest and Fleury in goal, but I’d also rather have the better team having the better season with the new HC riding a nice Win Streak. Many handicappers rely on their Models and their own routines to figure out who they like in a given game, but often the team that wins outright and/or covers ATS is simply the better overall team, both internally and externally.
VGK (-12.5 units)—who defeated Florida, 5-3 Saturday—seem to be hitting their stride and with Ryan Kesler (Hip), Patrick Eaves (Illness) and Cam Fowler (Lower Body) all out for the Ice Quackers (-12.4 units), I see the Golden Knights continuing their Duck dominance and upping their Win Streak to 6.
Golden Knights 4 Ducks 2
FC Brugge Atalanta (PPD) Manchester United Wolves FC Anderlecht FC Copenhagen AS Roma Gent Inter Milan (PPD) PSG Atlético Madrid Boca Juniors (9-0)
>Everton FC (+300) is playing well but never wins at Arsenal but can today. Draw No Bet s/b solid plus. I think Toffees win, 2-1.
