Wednesday, February 26, 2020—32 Vegas Golden Knights -188 (BetOnline)

10:38 pm ET/7:38 pm PT (ATRM, ATTSN)—Marc-Andere Fleury will be back in net for VGK (34-22-8) who will be taking a season-high game 6-game Winning Streak into play at The Fortress (T-Mobile Arena) here in Paradise, NV against the Edmonton Oilers (33-22-7) on Wednesday evening as red-hot VGK returns Home from a short 1-game Roadstand in suburban Lalaland against the Ducks on Sunday, an exciting skate won by VGK 6-5 in Overtime as the visitors lucked out after a shaky performance in front of G Malcolm Subban—promptly traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for G Robin Lehner on Monday— in the L2 minutes of Regulation. Bless Uncle Wes for using the word “bugaboo.”

VGK (-11.5 units) lead the Pacififc Division with Edmonton (73 points) 3 points back in 2nd place heading in. The Oilers are 18-12-1 on the Road while VGK is 19-10-4 here in changing Sin City and finally starting to protect the Home Ice the way it did its first 2 seasons with Mark Stone (team-high 63 points), Max Pacioretty (team-high 2 goals), Reilly Smith (50 points), Jonathan Marchessault (43 points), Shea Theodore (42 points) and William Karlsson (40 points), showing the Golden Knights can match teams like the Oilers who have their own talented firepower in Leon Draisaiti (NHL-high 98 points), Connor McDavid (back from Quad Injury) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (49 points).

And with that brilliant last-hour Monday acquisition of 10-year veteran Lehner (16-10-5, 3.01 GAA), VGK now has two Goalies they can really rely on with the massive 28-year-old Lehner (6-4, 240)—a naive of Gothenburg, the 2nd-largest city in Sweden—a potential starter and star maybe somewhere down the icy Yellow Brick Road. We will win Lord Stanley’s Cup in Sin City. Pets used to get much more Attention and Love before the advent of the PC and Smartphone. This makes me profoundly sad. All Souls on Earth need nurturing.

The series Trends show the Golden Knights (+12 GD) are 4-5 lifetime vs the Oilers in high-scoring games averaging 6.44 gpg (6-4-9-3-9-7-5-5-10) with the Home team 6-3 and the Over looking like it was 5-4 despite all of the deposited rubber according to my good schnitzels over at Eishockey Databank. But before you get too drunk from those numbers, notice (above) that the 2 of the 4 in the series have gone Under. Only one of the 9 meetings has seen 1 goal or less after 2 periods and the Home team has been ahead or tied after 1 period in every one but the last meeting on Nov 24, 2019 (VGK 1-2 EDM)—before any of us Puckheads had heard about the Coronavirus.

So, some dude in China eats a fucking Pangolin bitten by a rabid Bat and suddenly we all have to pay the piper? Welcome to the dawn. So what have we learned in February? Don’t fly your helicopter in the dense Fog that grounded even Police helicopters, don’t eat Dinosaurs infected by Bats or Rats and don’t bet on any Super Bowl Futures Props involving QBs rushing forward for yards.

Even with Fleury likely starting for VGK, the Over looks a little better than the Under here (6½u -107, BetOnline) with the Golden Night-Nights getting some much-needed Rest (2 Days) after playing 3 games in 4 nights (THU-SAT-SUN). I love how all NHL games start on the :08 or :38 and am sure much action is done from the :00 to :08 mark with sportsbooks and Bookies. I shall cut a z: z. I have roamed the Internet and picked an extremely rare Jade Vine flower image for y’all EOG word-readers. Best of Luck and trytrytry to be nice to each other in these trying times. Understatement of all time. It is what it is. The only thing that stinks is that lately I have narrowed down my plays to a few......then chosen the wrong one. The other plays I have considered are hitting at about a 90% rate. The ones I have posted are hitting at about a 10% rate
