9/17/20 will be another 9/11/01. Because I won't specify a specific event, 25-1. Nothing cheap like a mass shooting. We'll know if I win.

>Posting on Tuesday for Wednesday spot for Wednesday game...
Wednesday, January 15, 2020—782 Butler -4½ -114 (Pinnacle)

6:30 pm EST/3:30 pm PST (FS1)—Big East heavyweights Seton Hall (12-4 SU/ATS) and Butler (15-1 SU, 12-4 ATS) have both been great against the betting number this NCAAB Regular Season and the two meet at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Wednesday with Offshore sportsbook BetOnline opening up the (AP) #5 Bulldogs as healthy 6-point Favorites on Tuesday afternoon with the Total set at 126½u -115. KenPom.com has Butler at #4 with Seton Hall sitting at #13, but also has Gonzaga at #8 and Ohio State (L4) at #7, some adjustments need to be made by the good doctor in Salt Lake City. Tommy can you hear me? Can you feel me near you? Tommy can you see me? Can I help to cheer you? Oooh Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy.

Butler’s four ATS Losses have been by 2 vs St John’s (BUT 60-58, BUT -4), by 1½ vs Southern (BUT 66-41, BUT -26½), by 2 vs Stanford (BUT 68-67, BUT -3) and by ½ point vs Morehead State (BUT 68-50, BUT -18½). The Bulldogs lone SU Loss was to #2 Baylor (53-52) on Dec 11 in a game at Waco where Butler—who leads NCAAB Division I in Bryces (2)—was getting 6 points. So they lost there by 6 and all their ATS L's add up to 6 points and the opening line iis 6. Must surely be the sign of the Antichrist? Until the Sharps bet Hall probably and it goes down a tick to 5½ and then it's all just more Superstition. There was way less Superstition before Al Gore invented The Internet.

Last season in Naptown, Butler (10-0 SU a Home) edged Seton Hall, 70-68 after leading by 12 at Halftime (36-24), while the Bulldogs lost 76-75 at Seton Hall, so, two games decided by 2 points or less. Butler has five solid scorers in star Kamar Baldwin (14.8 ppg), Sean McDermott (11.5 ppg), Bryce Nze (9.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg), Jordan Tucker (9.1 ppg) and Bryce Golden (8.3 ppg) while Seton Hall is led by Big East Preseason Player of the Year Myles Powell (21.5 ppg), Quincy McKnight (10.9 ppg) and Sandro Mamukelashvili (10.9 ppg) and the swashbuckling Pirates (8-2 ATS L10) are currently ranked #18, pretty accurate for a College Hoops poll.

The series Trends here reveal that Butler is 9-5 SU lifetime in 14 meetings, outscoring Seton Hall by 3.8 ppg (BUT 72.1 SH 68.3) but the Bulldogs are just 1-5 ATS the L6 vs the Pirates who are a profitable 11-3 ATS L14 vs the Big East and 21-8 its L29 overall (72.4%). Butler is 8-3 ATS L11 at Home and the Bulldogs have W6 straight SU by 12, 14, 2, 31, 9 and 25, surprising many who expected an average season from the Dawgs and 3rd-year HC LaVall Jordan. For Totals players, the Under is 11-5 in Butler games and 7-3-1 the L11 games at Hinkle while the Over is 6-2 in the L8 Butler games on Wednesday.

“The Butler Way” should prevail here with the Hoosier State Site the biggest factor in this battle between the Big East’s last two undefeated (in conference) teams who will both definitely be dancing in March. Expect it to be close to the very end when it isn’t with Defense on the Pirates Powell the prime mission.

The best Futures price Offshore for Seton Hall Butler according to SBROdds is +5808 at Pinnacle while odds on Butler are nowhere to be found there. At Palace Station here in sunny Las Vegas, Butler is 16/1 in reality but 25/1 on their sheets, proving sportsbooks Here, There and Everywhere leave a lot to be desired and fail to pay attention to the most basic things. I’ve seen The Future and it’s just as Dumb as The Fucking Past, mis amigas. I have 0 confidence in this Pick now.

Butler 71 Seton Hall 61
