Washington will head in on a W2 streak and 8-1-1 its L10 while the captain-less Broadway Blueshirts have L2 and are 5-5-4 at Home in NYC.
The last time these two met, Washington—which has the best Record and Goal Differential (+20) in the NHL—won 5-2 at Capital One Arena in The District as TJ Oshie scored twice on the Power Play as John Carlson (32 points) and the hosts led all the way.
The series Trends show Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals have played 15 Overs and 7 Unders and although the recent series games were as tight as a frog’s ass, Washington swept NYR—3-2 (SO), 6-5 (OT), 5-3 and 4-3 (OT)—in 2018 and have W7 straight vs the Rangers, last losing to them on Dec. 27, 2017 in a 1-0 SO at MSG as G Braden Holtby (10-1-3, 2.97 GAA) played fantastic but suffered the Loss.
