977/78 Pirates/Angels NO 1st Inning Run +115 (LP: Archer/Peters)

Game starts at 5:05P in Anaheim. We all know what 4P Angels' home games are like - IMPOSSIBLE to see the ball. This game starts 1 hour later and gotta think there will be trouble seeing the ball because of the glare and because of it chances of getting to T2 at 0-0 are damn good.

11 pm EDT/8 pm PDT (MLS Live, Root Sports Northwest, ESPN+)—The MLS features five fixtures on Wednesday night, including this one from Providence Park (FieldTurf Revolution) in Portland between the host Timbers and the Chicago Fire. Home sweet Home. There’s no place like Home...

Lifetime in MLS play, Chicago has to beat Portland (0-4-5, 11 GF-16 GA) with the Fire 0-2-3 (W-D-L) in Portlandia (6 GF-10 GA) although 5 of the L6 meetings in this series have ended in Draws (FIRE 2-2 PORT, PORT 2-2 FIRE, FIRE 1-1 PORT, PORT 1-0 FIRE, PORT 1-1 FIRE, FIRE 2-2 PORT).

The two clubs have played in a 1- to 6-goal range in the 9 meetings—all in MLS—and the Timbers have scored in every one of those 9 matches, with only 1’s and 2’s (2-2-1-1-1-2-2-1) after extinguishing the Fire, 4-2 in the first meeting ever between the two in 2011 in the Pacific Northwest.

Both sides have started poorly this season, but Joey Timbers and Portland (25-1 to win 2018 MLS Cup, Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook; opened 12/1) now have 10 straight Home matches after playing the first 12 on the Road, a big psychological edge for a team which has W3 of 4 and climbed to 10-4-9.
So the Timbers are feeling good about themselves right now with sparkplug Diego Valeri, Sebastián Blanco, Brian Fernández, Marvin Loría and Jeremy Ebobisse all playing well and Portland upped its Home unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 3-1 over the Whitecaps in Cascadia Cup play last time out.

The Fire (7-9-10, 38 GF-37 GA, +1 GD) have been down this season, especially on the Road where Chicago is 1-3-8, and traveling 2,120 miles and 2 Time Zones (CDT to PDT) will be hard on the Circadian Rhythms of the visitors whose Chicago Body Clocks will feel the game end around Midnight Central Time with the late 8 pm (PT) kickoff.

Timbers 3 Fire 0
(From Monday) Don't Forget to Bet: 224391 CFC-Liverpool Over 2½ -150 (CGT; last of the 2½'s—glad I posted Monday saying this was a bad Total, 3's everywhere; Liverpool scores at least 3), Liverpool -165 (Circa).

Gambler's Notes: A'ja Wilson returns Monday for Aces (WNBA); Find MC-TOTTENHAM Total at 3 (Over) before it rises (EPL, SAT)...

Hate to go against my boys (and the best road team in MLB) but the home team does enough to avoid the sweep today.

Good luck today on hump day my friends, if we can't win maybe we can score at least.

Now +130! On a Clear, Sunny Day in SoCal meaning the Glare should be truly awful at 5P

UGH!

Don't care how bad the Glare is. When you WALK the 1st batter then HIT THE NEXT 2 - the Glare can be the "Vdara Death Ray" and it won't matter.

As expected a GIDP scores a run. UGH! I was 100% right with this play. Just didn't know the pitcher for the Angels wouldn't be able to find the plate with a seeing eye dog
