Taurasi hit seven three balls.
Indiana controlled the game in the first half before losing control of the outcome midway through the fourth quarter.
The Mercury is playing small ball after Tina Charles left the team.
If the Fever can control the paint and somewhat contain the Mercury's three-point attack, then they can stay inside the number.
