About time.

$837 million.

That’s the amount of money New York residents wagered in New Jersey in 2019.

New Jersey got first run on New York.

The Big Apple got shuffled back on the first turn.

Still a long way from the finish line.

So he is going to take a break from killing old people and shutting down small businesses to allow sports betting?
When do we build him a shrine?

Broke idiot has no other choice to fund liberals and their busted ways.
The state of NY gives in to the national budget more than it takes. Very few states do but they’re all blue.

All the poor red redneck states like to take their shots at the blue states as much as they like taking their money

New York has the potential be the largest sports betting market in the country.

I'm sure the state's racetracks would love to serve as a hub for some of the brick-and-mortar action.

Saw something that said he might sign contract with one book only. Maximize his revenue this way somehow.

He wants the profits to all go to the lottery, not to private operators. It does mention the lottery would contract with one operator, but if its lottery profits he wants to maximize the vig is going to be disgusting and people will still be betting with their locals, offshores and taking the train to Hoboken.

he has to be careful with the vig. Hoboken is only minutes away. Also, they do take sports betting at Resorts in the Catskills. Has anyone been there?

Been out there, did some work on it. It's a fair offering so it's odds would beat lottery, but no one in their right mind is driving all the way out there .if you lived out near the outlets you wouldn't even drive there regularly just to bet sports. And if you live in the city, so many good sports bars in Hoboken or JC you could just hang out in and bet mobile if you wanted to spend a day betting football.

what a joke, get ready nys residents we will soon have our own version of proline like they have in Canada but probably with worse payouts. I did see something on twitter by Daniel Wallach that they would have to change the state constitution to allow the lottery to offer sports betting. I'd rather them give the leagues a small cut then get robbed by the lottery. Like someone else said, it will just keep it under ground with offshore and locals and neighboring states

1 book lottery stinks idea or if they go to more than 13 books coming to NYC .. they will need a bigger boat than that. I would bump it up to 25.

NJ has a problem with 20 at post time... the software at fan duel and draftkings does not cut it.. It goes down
