Great story on the NBA's GOAT

Horry just chased rings like some of the players are doing today. Horry not in the top 500 of all time

There was No FREE AGENCY when Bill Russell Played.

There was NO WALK YEARS for Players.

You couldn't HOOK UP with other Superstars and form BIG 2,3, OR 4.

If Guys didn't want to Play on the Teams that Drafted them, They told them to Go Deliver Mail.

It is easier to Win Championships Today, than it was when Russell Played, yet No One comes close to his number of Rings.

It’s a heckuva lot easier to win championships, and to have a ‘dynasty’, when there’s only 9 teams in the league.

In the Playoffs, in the last 10-secoonds or less, in game-tying or go-ahead field goals:

Kobe: 5 for 22 …. 23%

MJ: 7 for 15 … 47%

LBJ: 12 for 23 … 52%

those are the games that did not count for LBJ... when they count LBJ is the invisible man 3-6 finals

You need to correct the story if you are talking about the NBA GOAT

You are right about it being MJ. Just not the one you talked about. The NBA GOAT with the initials MJ is: Magic Johnson

2nd on the list: Wilt Chamberlain

3rd on the list: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
One
If you want to bring up the MJ you talked about he is no better than 4th on the NBA All-time list
Are you kidding me. Did you ever see Michael play? I played against him once in a charity game. one bounce, one step from the top of the key, slam. Never saw.that before or since.Magic as good a passer, maybe, but not on a par with Mike anywhere else

Nope. Never saw him play. Ever. What years did he play and for what teams? From what I am told he wore #69, right?

Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963), also known by his initials MJ,[5] is an American former professional basketball player and the principal owner of the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 15 seasons in the NBA, winning six championships with the Chicago Bulls. His biography on the official NBA website states: "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time."[6] He was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation and was considered instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s

Have you ever heard of Babe Ruth? Just wondering, I do not mean this viciously but you must be living in a vacuum if you are a b-ball fan and have never heard of MJ; how old are you?

Universalist, it's called sarcasm.

Winky is sarcastic, at times.

Data mining at it's best.

Those are the only stats I am conversant with.

Trust, if there was data out there that made MJ look clutcher than LBJ, it would be well known. There are way more Never-LeBroners than LBJ-Truthers which is why these silly conversations continue to this day. All Never-LeBroners do is spread narratives that aren't supported by the facts.

If we really want to have a conversation about who is a better basketball player, it would be a real short one as there is nothing to discuss. MJ was not a better player and wasn't more clutch; what else is there to talk about?

Let's see NBA final's.MJ top of the key; two defensive players on him; swish; winning basket. LaBron one more game winner Koby missed most game winning potential shots.

If you know NBA history the GREATEST team player who won more championships was Bill Russell. In any era hands down the greratest team player EVER. Don't think so read this;
Boston Celtics center Bill Russell holds the record for the most NBA championships won with 11 titles during his 13-year playing career.[7] He won his first championship with the Boston Celtics in his rookie year. Afterwards, he went on to win ten championships in the next 12 years, including eight consecutive championships from 1959 to 1966.[8] He won the last two championships in 1968 and 1969 as player-coach.[7] I rest my case. MJ second! Not even an argument.

One year during the playoffs against my Celtics, Micheal Jordan scores 60+ points playing with a temperature of about 102 degrees. The next game he had a let down and "only" scored about 55 points or so. I saw both games in person. I have watched well over 1,000 games totaling the NBA, NCAA and European pro ball. MJ's two games against the Celts was the greatest two game performance I have ever seen. One thing that is overlooked about MJ is that he was one of the all time best defensive players during his era. Hands down the
the best ever with Bill Russel 1A or vice versa. Russell's 16-0 in Championship Games in In High School, College, Olympics and NBA will never be matched.

That whole series vs the Celtics was really is true coming out party. There was no doubt he would be one of the greats after that series.
