Some people claim that this piece of debris is the "n" of the American Airlines' logo and that it is indeed "authentic," but if it did come from an AA plane, couldn't it have come from another wrecked AA plane and how did this small piece that is located near the front of the fuselage land outside so far away from the point of impact when we were told the entire fuselage of Flight 77 shot through the building all the way up to the 3rd Ring?

Researchers Eric Bart and Kjell Roald think this mystery debris, if authentic, would more likely be the "e" or "c" than the "n." They too question if it is indeed authentic.

"Meanwhile, only unidentifiable objects of metal and glass were scattered over the Pentagon lawn, Rothschadl said. The fire engine used for protecting the Pentagon was incinerated.
"There weren't seats or luggage or things you find in a plane. There was nothing left -- it was obliterated or fireballed," she said. "And there was a foot of water on the lawn. We are running around in the water, not even thinking of the jet fuel in the water. We were just doing our job."
A line of about 30 FBI agents swept the lawn back and forth, collecting evidence. FBI agents confronted Rothschadl, noting the ban on media coverage and demanding to know the reason for her presence.
"I was a little bit nervous that the tapes would be confiscated, especially being alone on the outside," she said.
During her video shooting, Rothschadl noticed a piece of metal against the side of the Pentagon. "It was part of the plane, and the metal was shiny silver with the red letter "C". It was obvious that it was an American plane," she said." -Press & Dakotan (09/11/03)

Another popular photo that shows debris supposedly from Flight 77. Of the bottom left photo, if that is plane debris next to the control tower, how did it get there when the control tower would be blocking the blast path of the plane and were don't any of these pieces look burnt?
