So the Hilton is now part of Resorts World.

Any word yet who the sports book is?

I've heard for a long time that Robert Walker will be running the sports book operations at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Scott Sibella is the property's president and he worked for MGM Grand as the chief operating officer for more than eight years.

The $4.3 billion property is scheduled to open in the summer of 2021.

With or without US Bookmaking? I had not heard that rumor. I think there is zero chance Genting opens with their own brand book. They will partner with someone.

Yep, that's related to my question, as to whether we would be getting an additional ostensibly independent out in Las Vegas, one way or another.

FWIW, while Top refers to "the Hilton" in his opening post, the Hilton in question is the international Hilton company, not the former Las Vegas Hilton property that now is the Westgate, the location of the SuperBook and the property where Elvis was the headliner when it was The International, IIRC. No change there from this deal.

As I understand it, Walker was working with Genting before he took the job with Vic at USBookmaking.

No insider info.

I'm merely speculating.

Hilton and all the big hotel brands never really own the buildings anymore so any connection to the previous days is just nostalgia. Since the days they called it "LVH" the casino has been managed by companies hired to manage the casino floors for a fee. Genting will have far more hotel rooms than they can fill with gamblers, especially the rooms aimed at convention visitors, so they are basically going to put a Hilton "flag" on the building and sell rooms in it with the the help of the Hilton system, plus many are expected to be given to many Hilton customers as they redeem their loyalty points. In return for this, they will pay the Hilton corp a standard fee, which is usually about 8-10% of hotel revenues. They will still have some rooms in house that are high-end that they will give to gamblers.
