Use 6 out fielders, no third baseman or 2nd baseman, a short stop, and pitcher back pedala after high pitch, this holds high scoring teams to 25 instead of 35

Here's my idea for an MLB game:

Tie game in the bottom of the eighth inning, two out and a man on second.

My defensive alignment would feature middle infielders playing 20-25 feet deeper than normal.

This denies the offensive team from scoring the go-ahead run with a bloop single OR a seeing-eye single.

Force the offensive team to record two singles, not one, to score the runner from second base.

Growing up in Chicago, we played 16-inch softball.

Gloves are for sissies.

No offense to any sissies out there.
