Off the top of my head:

ManRam
Greg Maddux
Arod
Jeter
Glavine
Rivera
Randy Johnson (if he gets to 300 wins - 288 right now)

Are all these FIRST BALLOT or Just LOCK HOF'ers?

There is a difference.

forgot about Griffey, in for sure. Considering its the Baseball Hall of Fame and not the MLB hall of fame, I would add Ichiro. When he is finished he likely gets in with his MLB time alone, but with his Japan time he is a lock

The ones I posted I feel are first ballot. The exception might be Johnson, although I think he has done enough.

Jeter is a first ballot? maybe by the time he retires. He has won and won in the postseason a lot.

Re: How many FIRST BALLOT Hall of Famers are currently playing now?

Jeter will more than likey have over 3500 hits.

he already is approaching 1500 runs scored and 1000 RBI with a good 5-6 years left.... .316 career avg, 4 time World Series winner.

oh by the way 17 career post season HR! ROY 3 GGs 300+ SBs

Wow. Lock city. I have always liked Jeter and that overrated voting is not right.

3500+ hits is undeniable lock city.

I posted this last yr, but do you realize he has as many hits right now at this age as Pete Rose?

I'm shocked you damn near fell over backwards shoving Schilling thru the hallowed halls with both hands yet are balking at Jeter, a big WTF!?

My reasoning is that the players will continue in the natural progression of their careers. At this point, assuming that he stays healthy and has a normal decline in his numbers he is a first ballot hall of famer.

As Journeyman said he will have 3500 + hits. He will have minimum 4 WS rings, 3 gold gloves, WS MVP, numerous All Star appearances, and has played in a tough city. He has never really had any controversy surrounding him, no allegations of cheating and has been clutch when needed.

There is no doubt he is a first ballot hall of famer.
