Saw a picture of Tulane's football stadium .... water up to the cross bar on the goal post...unreal site.

Don't lose sight of the fact that this is truly a tragedy. All the bickering amongst yourselves doesn't lessen the magnitude of this.

Jags your are correct, in 911 people were just inconvienced for a short time

Please tell me you are kidding....INCONVIENCED for a short time. Please just say you are playing devils advocate right now. Being inconveinced for a short time is having a fast food joint 3 miles down the road and piss coming out your ears. It's having a hangover b/c you drank your ass off the night before "celebrating all the freedoms you have." It's having V. Young throw that G.D. INT, yet winning the final by 3 TDs. It absolutely sickens me what happened to LA. and neighboring places, but most of those people had a chance. MONETARY VALUE WAS LOST and I have no idea where most of the evacuated people will stay, but may God be with them.

But when some stupid ass radical SOBs demoralize the strongest nation of the world...that says something. I would never compare these 2 tragedies, but I know I am still deeply saddened by 9/11 and to this day, I live my life different than before the incident.

Not here to pizz on anyone...but it was MUCH MORE than a slight inconvenience. Tony Montana is 90% right on with everything he posted. God be with anyone affected in any way by Katrina.

As someone who was in nyc on 9/11 i can sympathize with those who feel NY's disaster was far worse. It was hell on earth. But after seeing the widespread destruction (on tv)and turmoil that will continue for months down there and 5 days later (and far beyond)people will continue to die horrible deaths i think this will turn out to be the worst disaster in this country to date.
It will only get worse i fear over the next weeks as people become more desperate.I have never seen anything like this and am ABSOLUTELY SICKENED by the way it is being handled by our government!!If this would have happened in some third world shithole they would be airdropping all day!!!Why not here????Those people are dying!!!! Kids, Elderly!!!!! I am sick of this government and fema, army, government puppets spewing their bullshit excuses. Bottom line, those people don't matter because they are the have nots.Bush and his boys are already planning their multi-million dollar condos and resorts on all that newly available land (thats if he can pull himself away from counting his money on his he is making by his buddies gouging the price of oil). Those residents never had a chance. They were disposable.....SICKENING:+crying-5

Just wanted to add that Canada, and I imagine other countries as well, are ready to help out. But the consideration is the US has more of the needed resources. But if they ask for help, they will obviously get it from everywhere.

Right now, outside help has been given through donations to Red Cross.

I have read all threads on wich disaster is worse: Katrina or 9/11, well it seems to me both are iqually terrible. the difference is that one affected the american way of life, or better yet, wake up americans to whats is going on in the world, that not only your precious and blessed land exists, on the other hand people has lost their way of life in NO, no home, no belongings, no job, nothing.... the emotional impact of that is very difficult to accept and is precisely that emotional part of the disaster that if will become almost impossible to heal...as for new york, the level of stress has lowered and people is getting use to their lives again, it has taken them 4 years for this .... how long is going to take to the NO people to start believing again, hope never dies ....our prayers go to them!

Funny you should mention that. The ran a story on one of news channels earlier saying that more then 5 countries (including poorer countries like honuras) have all offered help and the white house has yet to decide if they will accept?? WTF??????????????????????????????????????:+clueless

that statement isn't even close

the 2 towers costed 40 billions dollars.

they are both tragic events

try not living below sea level ....next time

2 different beasts where talking about here

Tony this damage is more than 75 Billion

Way more deaths

911 was a small dot compared to this and I mean very small

911...............buildings fall, put into a big pile and its over

Hurricane...........disease, death, destruction, rape, homeless, starving, murders, theft

No comparison Son and I mean none

come on you guys, go back and read this shit. Who cares which one was worse, they were both horrific for different reasons. The fact of the matter is that this affected our country both times, and like the folks in NYC, these folks need help.

It is irrelevent as to how they each came about.
