Re: I promise I will leave this country

Re: I promise I will leave this country

Well, of course. We sure don't want the values of Middle America running the country.

What are these Iowans thinking?

That's Ron Paul - he wants to abolish the IRS and go to a straight flat tax

Huckabee has zero chance of becoming president or even winning the Republican nomination - he's a non factor nationally - he got all the religous freaks to come out and vote for him in Iowa - big deal

That's good enough for me...lol.

No seriously, Travis....why do you feel that way?

Pioneer,

The man believes that the world is 6000 years old. That is enough for me. I will go NO FURTHER with this conversation.

if people want to believe that dinosaurs and humans shared the earth at the same time, well, that's your right to fantasize. God save us if we have a president who thinks that.

Obama didnt just win Iowa tonight; he gave a speech to inspire a generation to vote. Tonights story is as much about turnout as it is about the Huckster and Obama. Iowa has a greater percentage of evangelicals in their Repub party which was why Huckabee won. He cant win NH, and the real election will be McCain v Huck in SC.

Clinton is history. Obama is the future.

My guy dropped out tonight.

Obama of course will never win in the deep south, but the turnout in Iowa was twice that in 2004. when you look at the number of voters coming out to vote in the demo caucus, in a state that Bush carried the last two elections, has to have the Repubs very concerned. It isnt about the rednecks in the south, it is about Virginia, Ohio, Iowa, NM, and Florida- all those swing states that went republican four years ago. Tonight told me that the dems could carry Iowa and few other swing states.

Huckabee is running on a 24% National Sales tax .... somewhat Like the Fair Tax play .. Americans For Fair Taxation: FairTax.org

but does not close all the loopholes the fair tax does

Huckabee does NOT believe that the world is 6000 years old. He believes, as most people (including all of the other presidential candidates) do, that God created all things.

So you enter this thread, post a bald-faced lie, and then promise to leave the discussion(although habitual liar that you are, you've already posted thrice).

I have exposed you as both a liar and an idiot(in the religion thread that you started).

Re: I promise I will leave this country

hell yes....jeff will be pro online gaming as soon as he figures out how to fund an account.

But I did just open an online account. No guards at the border stopped me. I funded it with my debit bankcard. I didn't have to buy phone cards or gift cards or Hallmark cards and have them exchanged for this or that and then sent to Vito somewhere in the mountains of Peru to be carried on burros down to some "sportsbook" in Banana Del Sur. It took less than a minute.

I sure hope I'm not spilling the beans about using such a surreptitious and ingenius way of funding an account as a debit card. I realize it was a master criminal stroke.

Where is all this intrigue and secrecy some of you manufacture over this issue?

OSUCOWBOYS - so you're thinking about emigrating to Canada. How do you think that our politicians are better than the ones in the US? We have already had a woman PM (Kim Campbell) and he reign lasted weeks. We have a new federal Tory minority after a decade of Liberal arogance and entitlement. Provincially we are all over the map including the two-term lying Liberal McGuinty here in Ontario. Not sure that you are getting a better deal by coming here.

What surprises me most about the US election (and never-ending primaries) is how the new potential leaders are talking about all issues EXCEPT the most crucial issue; what is your plan to get the US out of Iraq? If the US is still in Iraq in 2012, there is a serious problem. You're bleeding $1B a day staying there. Hilary scares me in that she didn't see the fooling around Bill did right under her nose. How will she do with foreign policy?

I will not live in a country where my leader has such DIFFERENT religious views as my own. This man is on record stating he believes EVERY word in the bible. That is simply beyond belief for me.

How would he do as President?

I agree we MUST get out of Iraq.

Canada is the next best option IMO

she has known it for years... She also is not Stupid and Knows her Husband is a very smooth talker and can sell ice to the Eskimo's... It is better to let him do as he pleases and have him on her side than to piss him off and let him Bury her. One thing about Bill is he he very personable and is good at making each and every person feel important when he talks.... Anyone has to admit this even if you like him or not.

Re: I promise I will leave this country

McCain can certainly win the Republican side, but Hilary is in deep trouble. The massive turnout, the fact that Bill spent all that time in Iowa and she didn't even match her worst poll numbers last night, the fantastic coverage Obama is getting, and the fact that Obama has no baggage like she does, all spell defeat for Hilary.

Re: I promise I will leave this country

"Moving to Canada" is just one of those goofy statements people make when they don't like something here in the US, particularly presidential results.

I can remember Alec Baldwin making a big television talk show announcment that if Bush were elected, he would "move to Canada." Hadn't quite made it yet.

But if people feel that life in the United States will become unbearable if the wrong candidate wins the presidency, then I guess Canada is the option.

There's probably a few people in the world who would be ready to fill your vacancy.

No question that she knew it. She let it go because she is not really interested in Bill, only what he can give to her. That being a shot at the White House. Thats what scare me about Hillary. She is willing to compromise anything and anyone to get elected.

Don't forget Babs Streisand, she promised to move out of country also. I wish she would.
