I'd suggest employing many thousands of the unemployed as C-19 rule enforcement officers. Get people back to work & kill the virus at the same time via enforcement. Kill two birds with one stone. Maybe even start with $1000 fines for first offences, or arrest & jail the covidiots. Hotels could be used for jailing purposes if the "accommodations" become full elsewhere. That could put hotel staff back to work rather than receiving free government payouts for doing nothing.

Sounds logical but unfortunately no one in the current administration has any interest in seeing the Covid 19 pandemic disappear.

Amazing how dumb you people are.

Colombian cartels were shooting people for disobeying COVID-19 restrictions. Really worked well.

You want people to be employed again? End the restrictions. Duh.

The constitution doesn't get revoked at the will of governors, does it?

Ending all restrictions & required safety measures as flu season is imminent while the C-19 epidemic rolls on is a recipe for disaster. That would lead to an increase in illnesses causing employees to be on sick leave & many businesses shut down anyway, as well as risking hospitals being overwhelmed & unable to treat emergency patients needing life saving treatments, hence more deaths & long term negative health consequences. OTOH health experts tend in the direction of extreme caution rather than extreme risk and danger.

Those hospitals are going to be overrun huh? It's been 7 months, how long you going to play that tune?

Extreme safety measures (shutdowns etc) largely prevented hospitals being overwhelmed. Remove them & 10 million are dead already.
Wow, you really drank the kool aide. How do you explain all the states that did almost nothing and never had close to a hospital surge?

Many factors could be involved. Such as multiple safety measures being practiced, distanced from major outbreak areas, fewer highly congested populations, the virus being largely contained elsewhere by shutdowns & distancing, etc, not hit as hard with the virus as elsewhere, healthier populations, younger populations, more people who live alone or in smaller families, fewer super spreaders, a weaker strain of the virus, more people with T cells, etc.
