I've noticed I've done much better this year by not having a offshore out that I can make impulse bets from the PC. I go to the casino make my bets and I can't make another without riding down there again. I've decided not to do Leroy's app for this reason.

So I feel you!

I love the clowns that always claim they are up a little.

I learned that lesson early in life as my grandfather was a big horse player. He would always be 'up' a little when anyone asked. The thing was, when he lost most of his vision in a stroke when I was about 13 or so, I became his track 'guide' so I knew exactly how he did. He was down. He really didn't care as it was more about the experience and getting out of the house, but he always claimed the same answer. I saw 100s of other guys at the track he knew say the same shit.

As far as me. Down betting sports. Up gambling.

Been a relatively good year. My bankroll is up but after the engagement ring (already bought) and wedding I imagine my net worth will be about the same.

seriously if you get occasional bonuses, bet within your means, never chase, win contests sometimes, not bet too much like $50-$60 a game, , $300 at the most and stay under radar you should expect to always make a little unless you really suck at picking winners.

I just need to learn how to make more and take advantage of stuff more than I do.. The reason why the books and casinos make so much money is because of the "chase" factor. Our minds are wired in a way to where we automatically feel the need to chase our losses.

I went on a historic losing streak about 8 weeks ago, it lasted about 2 weeks.. Was losing everything in sight and couldnt win a bet. I did not chase, I kept on the right path and knew this would balance out. The old me, or almost anyone else would of started chasing after losing for a week straight maybe even earlier.

I'm picking at 59%-60% in the NFL in the contests I'm in.

Up in spite of the past 3 weeks ... the mix of college basketball and NFL has not been kind to me.

The year breaks out like this:
- Jan & Feb 2011 were horrible
- March was a big bounce back
- Negligible profits in MLB, NBA & WNBA
- Winning months in September & November
- October not so good and December has been baaaad
