As I understand it, the violent crimes in Costa Rica are mostly committed with knives, not guns.

to show what a piece of garbage he is he posted it was his birthday..he received one response....making money for his thousands of followers and a couple couldn't say happy birthday...all a sham

JK, i am sure you know but if ever approached by a robber DON'T resist and hand over whatever they want. Money, wallet, phone. Many of those victims of physical violence resist.

I don't carry big money with me.

They may get 20,000 colones, at best.

For the uninitiated, that's a little over $30.

Most places here take plastic so there's rarely an issue.

I'm smart, not brave.
