Joining the 21st Century

I've been a Western Union or check person as long as I've been using online sportsbooks. Can someone help the handicapped please?
I just signed up for Neteller for the first time and took advantage of EOG's 25% bonus at Bet Jamaica. I did a tiny amount just to test drive the place ($200) and when I transfered the money, I got a 8.9% instacash charge. Did I do something wrong? I mean, $17 bucks isn't the end of the world, but I'd like to learn what, if anything, I did wrong. And if I ever make a withdrawl, do I get whacked again? I thought I read all the fine print, but maybe I didn't.

Sorry if this has been covered in online $$$ and sportsbooks 101, but I was out sick that day.

Thanks in advance for your advices guys!

there is a 8.9% charge for Instacash at most places. SOme like WSEX and VIP will cover it. Most dont.

If you would have used the EFT function thru Neteller it would have been free but you have to wait 4-5 days. and they will take the full 4-5 days for them to take it from your bank. also take a few days to verify your bank account.

hope that helps

It does Tesco. Thanks. So I'm assuming that if I yank $200 out, for instance, I dont get hit again? That's how I understand it.

Thanks again for your reply TV.

Rink,

Neteller truly is the way most of us move our money around the offshore world and it is super convenient. Make sure you get a Neteller card as they are invaluable, it takes two clicks to move the money onto the card and you can pull it out at any ATM or leave some in and use the card as a debit card. I have not found a single place in two years where the card won't work, including McDonalds...lol. I just learned last week that several sportsbooks in Costa Rica pay their employees via Neteller and give them Neteller cards to get their money.

Tesco is right about the EFT, its free...as for the insta cash you are baisically being charged for the convenience. Good Luck and let me know if you have any questions. I was a "beta" member at Neteller back in the ole two room Canada days and I know several people if you ever have a problem. The General has some great contacts there as well.

Take Care, Glaken

Glaken...thanks. I guess if I want my money transferred quick, I pay the price. Thanks for the response.

Always keep some funds in Neteller to use for opportunites that arise where you may need to jump on them quickly. Never have all your cash tied up at one time.

Neteller and the Sportsbooks are "joined at the hip", I think. I did a Neteller reques from Pinnacle on Friday to Neteller. It was there in about 10 minutes and from Neteller to my bank today (Monday)--2 business days and best of all no-charge . So---I have no doubt that somewhere, somehow and someway---that Neteller is a part of the books or the reverse is true.
Simple--no books---no Neteller. and For the greater part---no Neteller--not many books. One man's opinion.

What if neteller closed tomorrow, paying ALL liabilities. What would you resort to?
Would be just like that old song...
"Bye-Bye Miss American Pie, Drove my chevy to the levy but the levy was dry. Them good old boys were drinking whisky and rye...singing this will be the day that I die.....
And the 3 men I admire most---the father son and holy ghost---they caught the last train for the coast---the day--the music died.
Bye..Bye Miss American Pie.......
