But may get robbed of MVP.
Even though Jokic has better stats than SGA, the voters will give the award to SGA since Jokic already has 3 MVP's, The voters have Jokic fatigue, so rather than give it to him, they'll look for the next best choice which is SGA. The same thing just happened in the NFL, Lamar had better numbers than Allen and should have won the MVP, but he already won the award twice, so rather than give him his third, they looked at the next best choice, which was Allen. If the award was given out by computers, Lamar would have won and Jokic would be the favorite right now, but when humans vote, emotions come into play.

Happened with Jordan also. The Chicago writers didn’t vote him 1st, gave it to Malone (?) instead.

Sadly Kane is absolutely correct.

Joker got robbed of an MVP when Embiid was gifted one.

These voters have this snowflake like mentality of "we have to share the awards instead of actually giving it to the actual best player".

SGA is a solid top 3. But in my mind, and what should happen with an MVP, as it is the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER, is how a team does when that player is NOT on the floor.

Denver is barely a playoff team without Joker. OKC without SGA is still top 5 in the West.

SGA at a -500 favorite as MVP is really a major slap in the face to Joker.

How many MVP's were robbed from Michael Jordan and Lebron because voters said "we can't give it to him......AGAIN". Stupid

Great post. The Embiid example is a good one, they gave it to Embiid more like a "lifetime achievement award", which is why Allen won it over Lamar, I made a future on Allen during the season figuring if it was close between him and Lamar the voters would give it to Allen, before this season I took SGA +600 to win the award using the same logic, that they wouldn't give it to Jokic again, and next year watch out for Joe Burrow, he's been great since his rookie year, had the Bengals been good this year and made the playoffs he probably wins it, if the Bengals are good next year and Burrow puts up the same numbers he did this past year, look for him to win it since Lamar has two and Allen finally got one. Jordan and LeBron should both have twice as many MVP's as they do. LeBron won the award in 2009 and 2010, the voters didn't want to give him three in a row even though the was clearly the best player in the league that year, so they gave it to the next best choice which was Derrick Rose, LeBron then won it the following two years. Next year watch out for Jayson Tatum, assuming the Celtics have one of the best records and assuming Tatum puts up his usual numbers, it might be "his turn"

I think and strongly believe your burrow bet at 6-1 is spot on.

Burrow was amazing this past year but the voters had tunnel vision that it was only lamar or allen.

Voter fatique with lamar and mahomes
Allen got his one.
Dark horses never win mvp.

Burrow at 6-1 is a great long shot

Just to clarify it's SGA I have +600, not Burrow, but I'll likely take Burrow next year provided the price is fair, they won't give it to a QB on a non playoff team, so I need to see what the Bengals look like, if I think they're a playoff team Burrow is a good choice, they would have made the playoffs this year had they not blown a handful of games they should have won
