TYVM Morgan William!!!
He doesn't want to play in the NFL. If he did he'd be in Seattle now. The Seahawks were going to bring him up for a tryout and almost certainly would have signed him. But they had a clause in the contract that he would NOT kneel for the Anthem. He did not want to agree to that. So they didn't bring him in. If he REALLY wanted to play in the NFL he would have agreed not to kneel and he;d be on an NFL roster now.

Just like Pete Rose - who is better off NOT being in the HOF. He gets talked about more and can do signings instead. He makes far more money NOT in the HOF than being IN the HOF

Its reported he had 2 hours to accept the offer from theNFL.
They did him no favors holding this on a Saturday

The opening odds start here
I'm not sure he would end up in Seattle, as he would probably want to start for an NFL team elsewhere and not prefer to back up Wilson. However he would probably have to earn that privilege as he's been removed from the game since the end of the 2016 season. Though most figure he's still worked out in his camp it would take some time to be deemed back in football shape to be considered a starting spot. Then again, he'd probably do no worse than some of the 'starters' in the league today.

Sorry but three years away is too much. He had his chance in 2017 with the Ravens but his girlfriend opened her big mouth and killed it.

He makes more being the martyr in the football sense thru Nike than playing in mediocrity and a avalanche of "I told you so".

Have you seen Marcus Mariota play?

He isn't a starter in the league anymore. Do you think a guy who hasn't played an NFL down in 3 years could be effective? Look at the falloff of Leveon Bell after one year away. Hell, Melvin Gordon holds out for 6 weeks and it's like he forgot how to play.

It's almost as if Kaep was suspended by the NFL for 2 1/2 years and now the NFL has informed the teams that Colin is now allowed to return and anyone can sign him.

Smells like a secret suspension.

What about the alleged deal in place in 2017 with Baltimore that Nessa killed with her big mouth?

Nobody is going to sign him to start this week. He's getting a backup job at best at minimum salary..

Sounds like what you do to prevent getting sued. We gave him the best opportunity possible, please don't claim we didn't collude or secretly ban him.

He already sued the NFL and it was settled early this year.

The settlement was subject to a confidentiality agreement for both sides, so this "workout opportunity" could well have been one of the provisions.

Nobody is/was going to sign him to start ANY game in 2019. This is strictly about being a backup. If his skills haven't completely deteriorated in 3 years.

Sounds logical. Since the whole thing is a circus, it's fitting that it's being run by an actual Clown.

Hue Jackson will lead Colin Kaepernick’s workout

The unprecedented Pro Day workout for a veteran quarterback with little or no shot of getting back in the league will be orchestrated by a coach with little or not shot of getting back in the league.
The NFL has announced that Hue Jackson will lead the drills during Colin Kaepernick’s Saturday workout. Former NFL coach Joe Philbin also will be present.
The league also has announced that 11 teams have committed to attending. “With two days remaining until the workout,” the statement declares, “the league expects additional teams to commit.”
It’s unclear whether this means the NFL “expects” as in “anticipates” that more teams will commit, or that the NFL “expects” as in “mandates” that more teams will be there.
Even if all 32 teams give in to possible pressure to go (and at least one team publicly has said it won’t be there), the quality and influence of the representative(s) sent means a lot. Anyone can tap a low-level lackey on the shoulder and say, “Pack a bag for Atlanta.” The teams that are truly serious about this will send someone who will give Kaepernick a serious assessment.
Or they’ll just bring him to town for a workout. That can be done at any time, by any team that wants to bring him in for a workout. Since he became a free agent, no one has. That should tell us everything we need to know, and nothing that happens on Saturday will change an attitude that has been hiding in plain sight since March 2017.
