I was at the CFB game this year tailgating with Iowa fans because son in law went there, fun crowd.

The city of Omaha comes alive for the College World Series.

Omaha is dead for the other 50 weeks of the year.

The College World Series has been in Omaha since 1950.

In 2011, the CWS moved from Rosenblatt Stadium to TD Ameritrade Park.

Vanderbilt won the CWS in 2014.

Couple big casinos right over the border in Iowa, Fish probably knows the landscape.

I hope the Illini bases program isn't as bad a shape as their football and women's hoops. Heads will roll and a major housecleaning should be coming soon.

If the 15th ranked Hawkeyes should somehow qualify for the CWS this year, it will be the toughest ticket in CWS history.




Iowa with a just completed two out, two strike, two-run WALKOFF homer in the bottom of the 9th at Target Field in Minneapolis in round one of the Big Ten tourney, defeating Ohio State, 3-2!

Omaha dead? You have clearly never been to Aksarben race track. Never mind it's been closed about 15 years. The Omaha Zoo is world class. Lot's to offer in the great Midwest. My Niece married an Omaha native. Great town.

If it's good enough for Warren Buffett, it should be good enough for JK .............



The absolute best thing about Omaha is that one is a short ride over the river to three casinos in Council Bluffs, Caesers/Harrahs being one of them.

Omaha was the airport I flew into back in 1969 on my way to college my freshman year in Denison, Iowa......home of Donna Reed

Omaha a major airport for connecting flights, excellent point........have had some brutal flights into that airport because of either blizzards or summer storms.

Iowa arguably the worst state in the country for weather, horrible from a variety of angles.

Omaha home of "The Playhouse" I got in trouble for going there for a bachelor party. Wife banned me from there soon after she found out.
