Still scratching my head......don't remember. And not dominant in presence like Tacko at UCF.

dominant big man as in center or someone like Zion? For a center, Ewing comes to mind. A dominant frontline player, Larry Johnson and Anthony Davis come to mind.

Pervis Ellison dominated at Louisville also.

Good point, Heim.

Dominant big men are hard to find.

The days of Ewing (1983) and Olajuwon (1984) were a long time ago.

2 fouls in the first 3 minutes of semi-final game against Duke. Calhoun sits him out for the remaining 17 minutes of the first half. Thought that was a big mistake and the Duke lead ballooned to 12 or 13 points. Luckily it worked out.

The game you reference, Jammer, ended with Chris Duhon hitting a 40-foot heave to make the final score, UConn 79 Duke 78.

UConn closed a 2-point favorite.

Loved Olajuwon's game.

Dominated Patrick Ewing and David Robinson.

Hakeem played both ends of the floor magnificently.

The game has really changed. Now they recruit big guys that can set ball screens and do a little rebounding. It's a guards game
for sure that is why HC Cronin for Cincy said before the 'Big Dance'; you'll go as far as your guards take you. Said after
his team shot over 40% from 3 point land and winning conference tourney.
