I envy those Coloradoeans! They can legally buy the ganja without worry of incrimination. Legalize it all accross the USA!

Look, I know some people who used to imbibe. They can roll joints like cigarettes. But nooooo! They gave it up because their job drug tested. Well I'm not a quitter. Besides, PMSDNC is so cool after you've taken a few hits. Go Rachel!!!

Re: Legalize Pot NOW!

Los Angeles County has shutdown 500 marijuana dispensaries since it became legal with strict guidelines that most operations fail to follow.

I was surprised that one opened up in my neighborhood, but it was quickly shutdown. I was also alarmed a bit by the sketchy vibe it brought into this nice, quiet neighborhood downtown. I was shocked and relived how quickly this establishment was forced to leave. I see nothing wrong with marijuana in moderation, but I now know I don't want any stores in my neighborhood.

First of all, downtown L.A. is a lot more urban and hip than West Covina. It's nice to see people actually live there, it used to be a ghost town at night. I don't know why dispensaries are having such a hard time staying open. It's a hassle having to go to the "doctor's" office once a year to renew your "license." When the doctor walks in, I always act like I'm in pain. I've never seen any problems at these dispensaries.

Bob just called, he said you can come to the wedding and he'll try to throw the boquet in your direction . . .

Port establishments should be allowed the same location as casinos across many sites in US: Outside, on a hill, next to a smokeshop. I'd be more than fine having them all over in that case.

You're right! I'd vote for an local places where you can enjoy a bit or buy for home usage. :btj:

Re: Legalize Pot NOW!

Smoke is good....jail is not.

much of what is being produced in Colorado and California is being shipped east, where prices per lb are often $1000-$2000 more. The authorities are well aware of what's going on. I expect, if a republican wins, that federal law will again be enforced and many, if not all, of these pot shops will close. If a dem wins, about 1/2 the states will eventually legalize pot for medical purposes. But either way, expect it to become even more tightly controlled in the coming years are emergency room visits for pot overdoses rise, pot seizures and driving dui's increase and lung/cancer issues from smoking are identified.
