Let's Suppose...

This is all make believe, but let's SUPPOSE...

1-The Rx mailing list is actually the property of two people: one who owns casinos & one owns sports books...

2-Rx mailing list gets used by one or both of these owners to solicit business for their sports books and/or casinos...

3-Of course, there needs to be someone more "technically" capable than either of the owners to execute the plan...

4-So let's suppose, plan gets carried out, but no one really notices anything different because these are many of the same people who get spammed by sports books and casinos all the time. They simply delete the unsolicited email as they always do...

5-But now let's suppose that this "technical" person COPIES the list JUST IN CASE he is ever terminated from said sport book or casino and he also brags or shares his knowledge with a Friend...

6-Lets also suppose techie guy gets terminated or quits, or that Friend he shared this list with also gets terminated or quits...

7-Now these people may be feeling a tad disgruntled. They are usually angry at company or worse yet, they are in dire need of money since working for a sports book or a casino usually pays MORE than the average other job over there and they have now lost their income...

8-Now let's suppose one of them realizes that this list is worth arguably 3-6 months of their annual salary, so THEY SELL the list, either to get back at employer or because they need the money or BOTH...

Let's suppose is just an imaginary situation that didn't happen but...

Just suppose it did?

Who would you blame then?

THE SHRINK

Shrink you bought a hot list. so be it.

Lets get back to finding winners.

a few extra electrons to an inbox will not hurt anyone.

no blame as this is a non issue, its not an issue that cost any poster anything.

Just suppose that when I signed up for the RX, I signed up with a unique email address that was created with the thought in mind that I would be able to identify if that list was ever sold or misused.

Just suppose that other than the RX mailings, the first piece of email sent to that address cane from EOG.

Just suppose the Shrink is lying like he has so many other times in his past...

Unfortunately, I think Sam Odom hit the nail on the head. If you know who the techie is, turn him in. His fault. Can't blame EOG for being opportunistic. It's a jungle out there.

Let's Suppose...

I buy a new homeowners list, because I want to sell them morgage insurance. The guy i deal with offers me the list a week earlier if i give them 50% more on the price.
I get a nice jump on the others, which will help put extra money into my pockets. But i am really hurting the others who are buying this list also.
should really give a fuck about the others...

Also lets suppose i am RX poster...which i am..what are the odds that I didn't know about about EOG forum anyway, and if i didn't, and i received an e-mail from EOG...big deal...Are you trying to sells picks to me.NO..
To me the more forums the better!
I get to choose which forums gives me the value and fun with my time.

I post at three forums..here the rx,and at TOW.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO READ AND POST AT ANY FORUM THAT I WANT WITHOUT HAVING TO CHOOSE SIDES.

I understand that they are mad..but isn't that life.
I HOPE THEY GET OVER THIS QUICK.....I DO HATE FORUM WARS..TO ME THEY ARE VERY BORING.

I get aleast six e-mails from royal every week, does it really bother me..No i am just glad they stopped calling...Now that's was a pain in the ass..:doh1

GL..Tomorrow gents,I sure need it....

To the EOG and the Rx:

Let's suppose we knock this shit off.
I'm tired of creating these dramatic threads and playing schoolyard games.

Make a statement about what happened, and move on.

My Play of the week was a 15 point underdog that won straight up. I wish as many people cared about that and had 4 pages of threads talking about how much money everyone made than about some fucking email.

I don't need everyone accusing each other of shit and then people dancing around issues.

If you took the list, so be it. Admit as much and say there was nothing illegal about it and the other party got caught with their pants down. Then tell people if they want to not receive email send a note and delete them from the list.

If a third party or insider sold you the list say I bought the list from someone else, I will not divulge their name to protect them, but nevertheless this is a business and the results speak for themselves.

I like both forums but feel like I'm back teaching 6th grade with people whining and making excuses.

Knock it the fuck off. None of us are perfect.

I'm not smart enough to even understand the question....but an old saying comes to mind here.... "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when at first we practice to deceive".:+clueless

All I know is that I receive 2 EOG newsletters to the same email account. The database needs to be cleaned up.

Witz,
My lower back is sore as all from doing to much deadlifts on Friday during a back and biceps session. Whats the chances I can get you to write me a script for a pain killer with 1 refill? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You know what I think??

If the ownership of the list was really interested in preserving the list he shouldn't have kept the current employees there when the ownership changed. The current owner isn't a wise business man if he didn't protect the lists himself. He could have done it by contract and then sued.

The other point is that The Shrink is The RX-- I kind of think he is entitled to those lists-- but he probably did agree to convey the assets.

Lists are easy enough to get-- people are just trying to start a bunch of trash.
