Cags is allegedly going to be playing against the Cards on Tuesday. Took less than a year to go thru the farm.

Their outfield is producing about as much as you and I when it comes to power numbers.

Plenty of time to win ROY, wish I had a +5000 ticket on him too. Exit velocity up there with Judge and Mr O.

Considering how bad their offense has been I'm surprised it took this long to call him up. There's still time for him to win the award, the thing is since he missed the first two months he needs to come out of the gates mashing. There's a kid in Oakland hitting over .350, he's the leader right now, but I can't imagine he stays that hot all year, really need him to hit a wall, even if he does he'll still have solid numbers though

I believe there's a psychological boost when Trout is in the lineup.

He sat yesterday, the team looked dead at the plate.

Pitchers don't like the Sutter Health pitchers mound in SAC.

This also explains Severino and a few others on A's staff that have better road records.

It's flatter than the normal mound.

I saw his first AB, hit a rocket to the gap that was run down at the track, for a second I thought he got all of it. I believe he went hitless but he hit the ball hard, big scrapping kid, he looks the part

What's the deal with him, just a hot prospect that has done good in the minors?

Dodgers have a big dilemma regarding Kershaw. He's not effective anymore and his out pitch is a 83 mph slider that slides into the hitting zone.

Roberts giving too much respect left him in one batter too long tonight.

30,000 people in the stands all filming it with their phones. Someday they will be going thru their photos wondering why they felt the need to film that at bat. This isn’t Ohtani 2.0.

First at bat- plus not much to get excited about in Kansas City as it is. This is a big deal for the organization

I don't follow minor league baseball or really keep up with the top prospects, but I think Anthony might be the number one prospect in MLB

What if the kid hit a HR in his first AB? I think that would be a pretty cool video to have. And no, he isn't Ohtani, but there likely will never be another Ohtani, nothing wrong with filming a kid's first AB in the majors, especially if he's a top prospect

I get if for the friends and family. But to have no connection at all to an unproven prospect? Seems silly.

I can think of a number of times where I wanted to see a first at bat. But that was it. Just shows how phone obsessed people are.

Here's a clip of Elly's first career AB, the fans are all standing and notice how many of them have their phones out. And I'm sure the same thing happens with every fan base the first time a big prospect comes to the plate. I agree we as a society are phone obsessed, but these are the times we live in, Elly walked, but had he hit a ball 460 feet, that's a pretty cool memory to have

When you enter the 9th inning with a 10-4 lead and end up losing, that's the kind of game that can derail a team for a while.

Sox called him up today, #1 prospect in MLB, hope he gives them a spark. South Florida kid who went to Stoneman Douglas, that's the school in Parkland that got shot up several years ago, same school that produced Anthony Rizzo

I’ve been watching MLB for 55 years. Jim Edmonds made some catches in the late 80s and 5-6 years ago, Jackie Bradley made a catch where he ended up in the bullpen. But the catch last night was as good as any I’ve ever seen.
