NBA 2025 notes, news, plays

Wouldn't surprise me if Bucks traded the Freak for Tray.
If they did that, the Milwaukee GM would go immediately into the same conversation with Nico Harrison. It would be a fucking disaster of a trade for Milwaukee

I could see the Bucks trading for Trae to pair with the Freak, they need to do something to keep him. They traded for Lillard and that didn't work and trading for Trae wouldn't work either, but the Bucks as currently constructed aren't contenders, so maybe they shake things up to show the Freak they're trying to win. I said it in your thread and I'll say it here. Trae is highly overrated and no serious team will trade for him, he'll end up on a shit team that doesn't know what they're doing. The Bucks aren't a shit team but they're desperate to keep the Freak and might do anything

Joe Mazzulla has to be considered for early COY. Give him credit, he's come a long way since Spo gave him a coaching lesson a few years ago. No Tatum, no Holiday, no Porzingis, no Horford, and they're at the top of the East

He wanted to go to WASH to hook up with the GM that drafted him...this was all about money. I don't blame ATL. He'll be 28 and 49m next season.

Problem, Dyson a great defender but not a natural PG.

If the Lakers can get Lebron to retire and free up cap space, Giannis would be a Laker.

They have who everyone wants, Rivers and #1 picks.

Why don't you like Towns?

he is tougher than ewing but it is not saying much. We have seen a lot of good centers in our day. I don't put towns in the top 20..i would ship towns out of town. i like the skinny kid from SA...but he gets hurt when he bumps into someone

Looks like Nugget defense has picked up with Braun & Gordon back...only gave up 110 Hawks. 😅

Hawks a team still in transition after Trae deal.

They'll get better with rim protector Jokic back.

Can he touch the rim? 😅

Lmao 🤡🤡🤡 If anybody's still wondering why this absolute moron is down 30+ units in the BB thread since football AND basketball kicked off look no further. 😂 🤣

If this clown checked the box score for even 5 seconds he'd see Gordon and Braun aren't "back" both off the bench and were on minute restrictions. Brauns ankle is so bad he's back to street clothes. They're relying on Hunter Tyson at the 5, Zeke Nnaji, Jalen Pickett, and scraps not one healthy opening day starter in the lineup with Jokic and Valanciunas both sidelined for weeks.

Thinking rim contests are everything is hilariously dumb outdated take. Mocking Jokic for "touching the rim" like that's what defense is? What a fucking retard 😂🤣 again 5 seconds of research to see that Jokic's a net positive defender in advanced models year after year, elite DBPM among centers and huge drops in opponent efficiency when he's on.

Zero clue on injuries, restrictions, sample sizes, roster reality, or basic analytics.

Keep using those FanDuel $25 profit boosts in the BB thread, buddy I see exactly why you need them. 😂🤡

Speaking of the Denver Nuggets I'm beyond impressed. They keep throwing out a different ragtag group of guys and somehow keep stacking wins. When Gordon and Braun went down, I knew things weren't going to be easy. But once we lost Joker I thought the worst. Looking at the rest of the schedule I was hoping that if they gave it everything they could maybe hit 30-20 and sit around the 6th or 7th seed by February 1st, then battle back toward the 4th by playoffs. When JV went down the very next game, I really lost all confidence. I was just hoping they could scrape to 28-22, stay in playoff position, and make a stretch run for maybe the 5th or 6th seed to avoid the play-in. Little did I know how much heart these guys had. Peyton Watson is a budding star that they're going to regret not paying before the season started. Spencer Jones is a two-way/D-League guy proving he belongs in this league. Zeke Nnaji is playing well enough that somebody might actually want to take that contract off our hands. Having those old heads like Hardaway Jr. and Brucy B on minimum deals has definitely helped. Jalen Pickett has solidified himself as the backup point guard. And yeah I gotta give Adelman his flowers, he's pulled all the right strings. I can confidently say we wouldn't be in this position if we were still under Mike Malone. I just hope they keep this ball rolling. They're playing some really good ball for basically a group of G-Leaguers and minimum-contract guys.

And Tatum coming back.
Just played the C's +2500 to cut down the nets, can't say enough good things about Mazzulla, this was supposed to be a transitional year between the Tatum injury plus losing the talent they did in the offseason, but JB has picked up the slack, and their role players have been playing very well. As Dell posted I'm hearing some encouraging things regarding JT, the East isn't strong, the Cavs have taken a step back. If/when JT comes back the price I'm getting won't be close to available, so taking a shot with what I think is some nice value

OKC came out with playoff intensity versus Houston the other night especially on defense, today they're going to be up to cover 11.5 in Miami?

Posted this in Dell's thread

Also played the Heat +10.5, of course always blowout potential with OKC, but too many points even with the Heat being short handed

Re Houston. They look better without Durant. Look how good Phoenix got once they dumped him.

I'm kinda used to seeing Herro, questionable.

No Joker, no Murray, no Braun, no Cam Johnson, no Big Val, no Watson, no AG (who left injured at the end of the second quarter).

Noooooo problem!

Nuggets 102 Bucks 100

Depth?

You cancel a game because there’s a murder in a $hithole city. Might as well cancel every day.

Between Goddell, Silver and Manfred, not sure who is the worst. Triple dead heat.

They postponed the game for one day, no big deal. And the game wasn't postponed because someone got murdered, it was postponed due to the unrest and protests that went past the Target Center and the hotel where the Warriors were staying. The shooting took place 2 miles from the Arena. No reason for the league to take a chance one of the players gets injured during the protest when you can play the game the next day. The league did the right thing

Thousands marched across downtown Minneapolis on Friday afternoon, calling for an end to the ongoing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in the state. The large-scale protests went past Target Center and the Warriors' downtown team hotel.

The shooting Saturday morning occurred about 2 miles south of the arena, sparking another round of protests from local citizens.

PG suspended 25 games for violating the league's anti drug policy. He's blaming it on medication he's been taking for mental illness. While I tend to believe him, why didn't he check with the league before taking whatever he took

I would think contractually Philly can get out of that contract now and waive him.

Because he is a dumbshit…

Adam Silver in revenge mode keeping Clippers off All-Star team on their home court. Remember owner circumventing salary cap with Leonard?

On another note, CAVS really want to give up Garland for Harden?!

I only follow the NBA at playoff time, but I did a double take when I saw this trade. How old is Harden at this point?

Given their ages, this trade made little sense to me for the Cavs, Harden's numbers in the playoffs are down compared to his career averages
