NBA Playoffs: Comments & Homer Takes

The Lakers need more size, they tried trading for Mark Williams but he failed their physical

I was scratching my head how he failed Laker physical, then played and finished the season with CHAR.

So Clippers shot better on 2s and 3s....how did they lose? Oh ..I see, DEN 11 more free throw attempts 😏

The Clippers turned it over 9 more times than the Nuggets, which resulted in 8 more FG attempts for Denver, Leonard alone had 7, including the big one on the sideline when Murray knocked it away late in the game, they need to limit their turnovers

Denver got all the 50/50 balls late, most critical offensive rebounds and 3 pointers. Let's see what happens going forward without all the above cluster luck, and still all out to win by 2 at home
Love watching a guy off the bench making the league minimum out there grabbing all the 50/50 balls and dominating the offensive boards. 🥰 It's a wonder how he gets so 'lucky' 🍀

Who's going to tell this 🤡 three-pointers are worth three points no matter when you hit them. 😂

BTW I wouldn't count on such poor shooting from the Nuggets again.

On a basketball savant site they went thru the 5-6 factors of past champs checking the box for all teams. The only team to hit on all factors of past winners....OKC.

Feel obligated to give the Brick G1 update......

It's simple, his best quarter was the 1st. No points, no assists, no rebounds.

Watching Luka though he was +11 in the quarter.

Rest of the game as he got involved, Lakers were -33 when he was on the court!

No surprise, his feet were planted as guys rebounded all around him.

He was slow to rotate and when left 1on 1 he was torched repeatedly.

Best stat for him? Three assists, led the team.

But yeah, 4 turnovers to get those, not a very good ratio I'm told.

While Brick was 3 assists, 4 turnovers - Edward's 9 assists, 1 turnover.

I'm literally embarrassed anyone ever mentions this clown as even a Top 25 player.

The only discussion should be is he good enough to still be starting.....

Dollar wise that answer is no.

Huge dollars for a soft defensive liability, turnover King with no heart.

Can you imagine a 1Q like that to kick off the playoffs. His son had the same #'s.

No points, assists or rebounds but his best quarter by far.

Back for G2.

He used to be decent on defense. Now he is a liability on D and clumsy on O.
Yep. Too big to guard the fast guys, too small to guard the big guys.

Defensively he's just a huge liability at this point. Throw in.....

Questionable offense and the killer instinct of a wounded butterfly, Lakers in trouble.

Their offense is stagnet. LeBron brings it up Luka is watching James do his dribble dance trying to figure out what to do.

Luka brings it up, same thing. Zero movement, cutters....they don't have the bigs to run a decent P & R.

Question is where do they go after a first round elimination?

Luka was still a great trade but they have to move on from Lebron. No Kobe long kiss goodbye. Build a defense oriented team to offset Luka weakness.

About "homer" takes in the NBA or other sports, for that matter: When the homer backs his team, ignore the comments.

When the homer makes a case against his team, listen carefully.

Additionally, homers are good for detailed information (roster moves, injury info, morale, etc.) about their favorite team.

Typically, homers are "out-of-town stupid."

They know their team, but they're ignorant about the rest of the league.

I never thought much of Lue as a coach, but I downgraded him another notch setting up Kris Dunn for a corner 3 late, their worst 3 point option.

This was Denver at their worst playing like they forgot how to hoop. Clippers had a 17-point lead in the first quarter nuggs defense was nowhere to be found. MPJ was a ghost out there. Jamal Murray struggled going 7 for 20. Nikola Jokić missed two free throws and got a technical foul handing the Clippers a free point. He also went 1 for 4 from three which is rare for him. Russell Westbrook was rough missing five layups and shooting 5 for 17. The Nuggets let the Clippers run wild early. Really an overall garbage showing. I'm really not sure if they could have played worse. Play like hot garbage still won.

I mean honestly if you're a clippers fan or even just bet on them you have to feel absolutely deflated. I mean what happens if just one of those guys has a good game. 2 out 3? If three all 3 of them are on? I don't see Joker missing four bunnies again either.
When you blow a 15 point lead in the opener, and know it’s balls to the wall in game 3, have to expect a subpar performance by the LAC in game 2.

I hope they go into the shitter !

Thank you so much for this fade. I didn't put much thought into it until I saw your bet. I did 5 minutes of research and was like that's the dumbest f****** bet you could possibly have on this game. How are they not going to give Adams a significant run here. Sometimes your dog shit analysis is exactly what I need!

There is no doubt with any NBA affecianado, Clippers lay over Denver statistically but to be favored in Denver?! 🤔

The Clippers action is so heavy, Peyton Manning account leaked on Clippers as well. 😆

Playing Pistons for a few carrots.....

Let's stay away from another 21-0 run in the 4Q.

BTW new thing invented called a time out, coach. .

Took +7 but they could even the series tonight.

Knicks got killed on the boards tonight. Josh Hart is a great rebounding guard but he can't lead your team in rebounds.

Well it took Jokic basically giving away the game and an absolutely insane night from Kawhi but clips were able to get this one. Absolute choke job by the Nuggets.

The forgotten man in Clippers series is Van Gundy, he's the one coming up with the double on Jokic and zoning the passing lanes. It's not Lue.

Main reason Mr. Forearm Extension had 7 turnovers.

First time I've ever seen Joker really with a choke job. Terribly errant passes missed free throws just an overall unjoker like night.

How good can you be if a visiting team (Clippers) peaks at -1.5 on your home court in the playoffs?

that really stood out to squares like me but it did not close that way ....some shops had denver -1 and vegas shops had clippers -1

It felt like the Nuggets were fighting through quicksand. Murray and Gordon were both under the weather, and you could tell Murray was missing shots he normally buries especially late. Gordon wasn’t his usual self either gutting out 14 points but lacking that spark. Michael Porter Jr. had his drop foot acting up, stumbling like he tripped over a ghost. Joker usually money clanked free throws and threw up a wild shot thinking the clock was expiring talk about a brain fart. Kawhi was unreal yet the Nuggets only lost by three. Did they tank it? Or did everything that could go wrong did go wrong? It was definitely a weird game. The Nuggets I know should have easily wrapped that up at the end. But I can see how the conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this one.
